GrrlSpot was founded in early 2006 as a way for queer women returning to New Orleans to connect after Hurricane Katrina.

Our founders and earliest supporters are survivors of the storm that took and changed so many lives.

Now, 21 years later, every one that supports our events is a part of a hard fought battle to revive, preserve and expand our city's queer culture.

Every bit of joy and glitter you share is proof that nothing can wash our communities away.

We're so very grateful that you're part of our story, and we couldn't do it without you. <3 by @grrlspot
