My mom went down a water slide on her 65th birthday. Her reaction at the bottom? The last thing I expected.

We were celebrating her 65th birthday at GRS Fantasy Park, right here in Mysuru, and getting her to try that slide was an adventure in itself. My wife and I tried convincing her, but it took a GRS staff member to finally do the trick.

He simply told her that he sat there every day, that she was fitter than most people who took the ride, and that she’d be absolutely fine. Sometimes, all it takes is a little encouragement from the right person.

Watching my mom come down with a smile from ear to ear reminded me why days like these matter.

And that’s what surprised me about GRS. You go expecting rides, water and a fun day out. You leave with stories about the people you came with, the things you dared to try, and the moments you didn’t see coming.

With 27 years of bringing people together, GRS Fantasy Park is more than a place to spend a day. It’s a place to make a new family memory.

Beyond the rides and the technology that makes the experience smoother, it’s the people who make a difference. A little reassurance from a staff member turned a moment of hesitation into a memory our family will keep talking about.

Living in Mysuru, we sometimes take the places around us for granted. But GRS reminded me that a great family outing isn’t just about the attractions. It’s about the people you meet, the things you dare to try, and the stories you bring home.

GRS Yello Majaa Alle!

Mysureans, who’s the one person in your family who’d need the most convincing to get on that slide?
