27th post from back log (14th nyc spot): Tasha and Gaby had to go because it was far too late, so we said our goodbyes and continued our adventures in HARLEM 😈. We were walking for quite a bit and ended up taking a break at a park. After we were all rested up we ended up finding 4 Brothers Food Market and Deli. As soon as we entered, it felt as though we had entered a portal and travelled to Mexico (a prison taco experience one could say iykyk). I got 3 tacos, two birria and one al pastor. These tacos were sent from heaven. They were soooo good. I don’t know what spices they used but their meat was so flavorful 🙂‍↕️🫦. I need to come back!! YOU MUST COME HERE IF UR IN THE HARLEM AREA. 9.8! by @grub.journey

26th post from back log (13th nyc spot): We went to this Korean bakery and Tasha and I shared this matcha cheesecake and it was so bunz. I really don’t understand why people like matcha, performative ah product. I think this performative male thing was a marketing trend set by big matcha to expose themselves to new buyers. I also tried this sugar coated strawberry but it was so frozen and hard to eat but it still tasted good so overall 5.0. by @grub.journey

25th post from back log (12th nyc spot): We stopped at Itaewon Pocha and it was quite the expensive place so we got a single bulgogi and shared it between the 5 of us 😭 it was solid but nothing crazy. 8.0 by @grub.journey

24th post from back log (11th nyc spot): Stopped at Zucker’s Bagels & Smoked Fish after meeting Elijah’s old friend from Barbados and Tasha earlier that day. I got the avocado toast bagel. It wasn’t that good tbh I was expecting a lot better. 🥲 6.0 was really sad about this one but always gotta remember YOU GOTTA RISK THE BAD MEAL IN ORDER TO ACHIEVE THE LEGENDARY ONE!! by @grub.journey

23rd post from the back log (10th nyc spot): After visiting Central Park and admiring the gardens, we decided we needed more pizza. We ended up at LaViste Pizza. We all got normal cheeses and at that point in time I considered this pizza the best slice I ever had. I went for a second slice and got the ricotta but that was a let down compared to the normal cheese. 9.0 I would return for the cheese 🍕 by @grub.journey

22nd post from the back log (9th nyc spot): Creperie nyc next up. This crepe place was very funny. Elijah had ordered first and gotten the tiramisu crepe and I had ordered the banana Nutella crepe, the classic. Literally 40 seconds after I ordered the guy gave me my crepe and I thought that was really weird bc Elijah ordered first. But I didn’t question it. I took it and started digging in but it was weird there didn’t seem to be any bananas or Nutella but it had lots of ice cream. Elijah got his crepe and it looked really good. We were both eating ours and I had gotten through about half my crepe but that’s when I tried Elijah’s crepe. It was really good it had Nutella and banana and then the dots got connected. They had given me ELIJAH’s crepe and given MY crepe to Elijah, I was genuinely heartbroken bc we had eaten so much of each of the others’ crepes. I wasn’t able to truly enjoy the Nutella banana crepe but it was still good, expensive tho like so much in nyc. 8.7. by @grub.journey

21st post from back log (8th nyc spot): 7th Street Burger treated us welll. These tiny burgers were wrapped so nicely. They were sooo warm. Taking a singular bite warmed every inch of my body. From buns to the meat to the cheese this was a uniformly hot but the perfect kind of hot that doesn’t burn your tongue cheese burger. Take me backkkkkk 9.8. by @grub.journey

20th post from back log(7th nyc spot): Our next adventure takes place in the kungfu located next to Washington Square Park. This experience was truly life altering. It was like we were transported to another dimension. The vibes, the boba, the scene, it was perfect. These bobas balls were so chewy and sweet; greatest boba balls oat Elijah and crick will agree. 9.5 take me back. by @grub.journey

19th post from the backlog (6th nyc spot):
6 DOLLAR chicken over rice!!! This was an extremely rare halal cart somewhere in queens. And the taste did not disappoint. All I can say was that it was very good I would for sure go again. The rice and chicken were so flavorful; the salad that came with it had such a dynamic crunch! Truly 6 dollars well spent. 9.5 by @grub.journey

18th post from the backlog (5th nyc spot):
Park Avenue Bagels this was not actually in nyc but rather our air bnb town, Guttenburg, shout out Jerry. This place holds a special place in my heart. Their bacon eggs cheese sandwiches were incredible. Truly I was amazed. The eggs were soft the bacon amazing the ketchup blissful. And don’t get me started on getting cream cheese involved with the whole BEC w/ ketchup combo; it’s just too good, i thank Elijah for putting me onto cream cheese methods. 9.6 I must return to this place! by @grub.journey
