Alex (Orbi) Orbison an old school, old soul of Malibu.
Felt like our whole lives we crossed paths, a mutual admiration society… but it wasn’t until this year that I got to work with him. This is a deep and important album for him. There’s songs about events that I can recall that changed all of our lives in this little town sometimes referred to as “ Country By The Sea” . The Malibu Sound , was resurrected and progressed . Those of us who know , know. It’ll always be 27 Miles.
Alex recorded this in his home studio and it was not an easy undertaking. He mixed and worked tirelessly. Obsessively. When it was done, he had expressions and stories , and to bring it all together and still maintain his vision was the goal . He didn’t want it to be stamped into something it wasn’t already because a lot of heart and soul went into what it was already … I love this album and now it’s out ! #mastering #orbison #alexorbison #malibu by @grundmaster

This is actually 2 true stories , I can’t say I had the outburst quite like that but , I’ve definitely said it in some conversations like that … seeing people who are way over qualified and under fulfilled is an epidemic . Maybe this is you right now . It’s been me . That’s for sure .

To be around for others transformations is an honor and I was just the guy that gave them the permission . Theres clearly a light dying to shine brighter and then this happens .

Don’t be afraid to step outside of what society tells you to be. Listen to your deepest soul song , the thing you would regret not trying to do … don’t go 1/2 way . Don’t go and test the water , really go for it . Then you know. And that is a fulfillment in itself . taken in Hollywood by @grundmaster
