There’s never a good way to say this, so we’ll say it plainly and explain after.
Our September-October tour is moving to 2027. A few cities, for logistical reasons, had to be cancelled outright.
Half of SOYUZ members are emigrants, and getting the documents that allow us to leave Poland can drag on in ways that are completely unpredictable and feel deeply unfair – that’s what happened with Alex and Mikita.
We spent this entire summer chasing every possible route to speed up the process. A lot of energy, a lot of money, a lot of nerves. It didn’t work. Alex and Mikita will only be able to get back on the road at the end of 2026.
Our booking agency @emergedagency rebuilt the whole tour for February and March 2027, fast and at the highest level of professionalism. Some cities couldn’t be moved, and we’ll see you there on the next run, with a new record.
One thing we’re genuinely glad about: SOYUZ will play headline shows in Spain for the first time.
All tickets already purchased remain valid for the new dates. If your city is among the cancelled ones, please request a refund at your point of purchase.
Our audience has always been attentive, generous and, frankly, the best in the world. We’re sincerely sorry to everyone whose plans this breaks, and we’re deeply grateful to the promoters, the venues, and above all to you for understanding.

Update: it is with great regret that we have to cancel our performance at Colours of Ostrava because some members of the band have encountered some serious bureaucratic delays in obtaining the right to leave Polish territory and it will not be possible to resolve this in time for the festival in Czech Republic. We’re working hard to ensure that all of the subsequent scheduled performances go ahead as planned.

While we’re getting ready to our month-long next leg of the EU+UK tour that is coming this fall, we also have some exciting dates in summer! First time in Czech Republic and Norway, joining the dream lineup of the already sold out We Out Here, and a late August night at Jassmine. Tickets on sale now!

Manami’s verse was the last thing recorded for the “KROK” album and I can’t think of a better closing for the record. Her lyrics are full of mystic creatures, but at the same time they feel very real and tangible, based on subtle experiences of our lives. Later she also sent us this beautiful handwritten lyric sheet which we can’t help but post here <3

Here’s an approximate translation:
“The taste of life in the hush of a summer night
Far off, in the distance of tomorrow’s concerns
I uncovered it between dreams and memories
At the reach of the arm’s length
Beyond the borderline
Of minutes and seconds

It was a place too far for words to reach.
I recognized your form tracing with my fingertips, a game of fluid.
Spreading out from the skull, the spine speaks in fragments,
Carrying, carrying the body.
I took the body of a fish and lay down on the thick ground.
Then, I seeped deep into the earth, and finally arrived at a garden of mystery.

@albertkarch took 10 film rolls during our recent EU+UK tour so our content plan is feeling really well now (we promise not to spam though). The trip felt much longer than 2,5 weeks, starting at -10°C when leaving Warsaw and finishing at +20°C in Paris. It was intense, but so fun! Turns out we had a birthday on the day of the @thejazzcafe show marking 9 years since the first SOYUZ rehearsal and for a number of reasons there haven’t been a proper tour until now. Playing in sold out venues in London, Amsterdam, Paris, Brussels, Berlin, Copenhagen and speaking to so many people after the shows gave us a lot of energy to keep it going. We’ll be returning to many of these cities soon and more announcements are on the way! Also playing a live session at the legendary BBC Maida Vale studios for the legend himself @gillespeterson is one of the highlights of the trip that each of us still needs to process. Many thanks to our lovely bookers at @emergedagency, all the promoters who took good care of us and the artists who supported us in this tour (@lailandlomar did it even twice and both times they were absolutely marvellous!) <3 by @gruppasoyuz

Before there was an album there was a demo (or at least a voice memo). Here’s a few snippets recorded by Alex in different places over the years that preceded the release of KROK that show how the album was shaping up. No fancy mics were used, instruments tracked straight to iPhone and mixed right there in Garageband to prioritize catching ideas over spending time on patching cables and getting that perfect drum sound (that’s also a lovely part of making a record though, but it can be served later). Some of these songs ended up on the album in a form pretty similar to these sketches, others were reworked later. Maybe a couple of them will land on a 50th anniversary deluxe platinum edition of KROK?👀 by @gruppasoyuz

I composed “P7 Blues” in a couple of evenings right after watching the entire 8-hour Beatles documentary at the end of 2021 – don’t know if that adds any different perspective to it, but maybe at least classifies as a ‘fun fact’. Then the song took some recording attempts and transformations before it finally landed on the “KROK” album. We actually played it live few times during these years and people kept asking when it will be released (well most frequently it was our manager Max).
It’s usually hard to name an instrumental song and that was the case here as well, but in the last moment we came up with an idea to celebrate the place where we all went to lunch each day during the São Paulo sessions as it left such an impression on us that me and Albert were bringing it up in more or less every conversation for at least half a year after returning to Warsaw. Of course, it’s not only for the gastronomic experience itself (which was out of this world) but also the lovely time and conversations we all had there.

How lucky we are to have so many cool photos from the making of “KROK” so that we can just casually keep dropping them at any time, call it “music promotion” and make our manager happy. These ones were taken by @albertkarch during our time in São Paulo and they prove we weren’t sitting at the studio all the time. They have a bit of this mysterious quality that some fading memories possess. This trip, after a year and something, still feels pretty fresh and vivid in our memories, but it’s interesting to take a look at it at a different angle, as if it happened not to us at all. by @gruppasoyuz
