I love Life. Non-discriminating. Variety is paradise. Love reading, writing, arts, music and all things cinematographic. So much beauty in the world🪄

There was an AI interpretation of this scene, but my heart stayed with the original.
Sam as Lestat, his voice in French, his hands on the piano.
Everything he is — vampire, performer, lover, son — is in this poetic song.

"Beauty needs no replacement."

Lestat, after the judging of his soul, wakes up in his tourbus full of people. Raglan James, TC, Alex, Gabriella. He's still confused, then he realises they're near the stage for the Big Concert. But that doesn't interest him now. Something, someone is more important.
'Where's Louis?'he asks. Then, walks up to the top floor, worried what he will find. And there sits Louis, alive again like him. Their eyes meet as Lestat sits down beside him. No words, but how they look at each other says all. Concern Relieve. Love. Louis lifts a hand and touches the scares on Lestat's neck. Tenderly. Knowing. Then Gabriella storms in, telling Lestat he must go on stage. Not a sign of concern for him. Only commanding. Lestat, seeing the truth about her now, lashes out in anger. Refusing to go on stage and demanding himself now:
'You tell whoever the f*ck brought you back into my life... '
Gabriella continues yelling at him and then he breaks out in fury.
'I am not f*cking singing, you f*cking monster!'

I am watching, breath withheld, tears in my eyes, and I'm thinking:
'Take this b*tch! Your f*cking time is over!

Then we see Lestat later, after the 'mayhem' as he calls it, in his house in Montreal, narrating the epilogue of the book of his life till then. The 'rewrite' of Louis' version as told to and written by Daniel Molloy. Lestat's one is an audiobook and he named it "The Failures'

At the end of season 3 we see Lestat stepping out on his balcony, as we've seen that regularly, first in New Orleans, now in Montreal. It's daytime, but. obviously, Lestat can deal with that now. Still, it was new in the show, and I quite enjoyed it. Not so much the sight of the city though, cause that was in ruins..

'What did I say at the start of this,' is Lestat starting his end monologue, 'as to the Queen, as to destruction unleashed? Something about the regretful dead and the... hmm. what was it? Traumatized alive. That I had made a contribution. Let me take that back. The fault was mine. All mine.'

'Lilac...' says Lestat in the restroom scene of episode 1 Detroit. He has been washing his hands and telling the two awaiting vampires he's not coming to their coven. After that he's saying it, drug-dazed sniffing his fingers holding his mobile. 'Lilac...'

I've been wondering what it meant, was it the scent of the soap or what? And then I watched the film Nosferatu, a few days later and I heard the vampire Orlok say it, sniffing the medaillon with a lock of hair of his beloved Ellen. 'Lilac...'

I remembered Lestat saying it and smiled, knowing Sam Reid loves Dracula movies. He's also fond of Dracula saying to his beloved Mina: 'I've crossed oceans of time to find you...'

I love Sam ❤️with his poetic heart...

Larry is dead ✝. A purely evil deed of Armand 😈, that seems illogical. It makes me sad for Larry 😢 and hate Armand 😡🔪.

Why Larry? And why did Lestat put him down all of the time? Larry might not have been the best musician, but he was the one welcoming Lestat in the band. And also this: Larry kissed Lestat on his mouth at the party in episode 1. Was that a joke? Some sort of bet with the other bandmembers? Or WHAT???
Could there be a story in the background we don't suspect❓❓❓

✨I've never seen you looking so gorgeous as you do tonight,
I've never seen you shine so bright, you are amazing,
✨I've never seen so many people want to be there by your side,
And when you'd turn to me and smile it would take my breath away,
✨Oh I have never had such a feeling,
Such a feeling of complete and utter love, as I do tonight,
For my vampire in red... 🫠❤️

Yes! This is the Lestat I'd like to see more in the series. Showing appreciation, warmth, in one word LOVE, to someone. This part of Lestat's sensitivity besides all of the others. And could he for once take the initiative to be intimate with someone of a different gender identity than female ones like Dee Pharma, Baby Jenks and Christine? And don't start about the liftboy, that was a coincident and very short. It's also not enough to make Daniel conclude that Lestat would be genderfluid. I want to SEE things, it's film, you know. I want to see Lestat's self-proclaimed non-discrimination in passionate action and not just with the female kind and certainly not with his biological mother. This sickening twisting of his feelings in the physical way was NOT in Anne's book and should have been left out. Or changed, at least, in forms of blood-exchanging, after they had both become vampires. But AMC went on with Gabriella’s sexual manipulation, maybe counting on sensation to attract more viewers. Anyway, Sam is flawless in his acting ❤️, miraculous even, and most of his co-actors are also a treat, for as long as we get the chance to see them perform, that is. So I'll go on watching, hoping to still find more sensitive moments of the original writing in the last 3 episodes.

NETFLIX NL !!! Nogmaals: TOP!😍😍😍

NETFLIX NL !!! I saw this in your newsletter this morning. Season 3 of IWTV, titled The Vampire Lestat, is going to be streamed by you AFTER ALL, not too long after the start. I mean, thank God, 3 weeks didn't turn into 3 months or even 3 years. THANK YOU! And sorry if my earlier, anxious requests came across a bit harsh. I just happen to be crazy about this series, and certainly about actor Sam Reid who plays Lestat, and this goes for a whole lot of Dutch fans along with me. Once again: GREAT! 😍😍😍

Aanvulling Juli 4 2026: Dat 'binnenkort' is rekbaar, blijkt. Ik zie seizoen 3 nog niet verschijnen. Misschien vindt Netfli nl September a.s. ook nog 'binnenkort'? 😏

Update July 4, 2026: That 'soon' is flexible, it turns out. I don't see season 3 appearing yet. Perhaps Netflix nl will consider coming September as 'soon'? 😏
