Mid-year Celebration party 2026✨ We are so proud of our kids for all the hard work they put in, it’s been an amazing year so far, we saw new faces step into our studio this year,shined on stage and filled our studio with laughter and endless fun, we are also so happy and proud of our dancers who have been with us for more than a year, you made our dance school a place where we could call a 2nd home and have stayed with us through all the ups and downs, we appreciate you so much❤️ thank you to our coaches who come to studio and take the time to teach our kids choreo, keep them fit and help nurture them into amazing dancers we couldn’t have done this without you🫂🫶🏼❤️✨ We look forward to seeing you guys soon after this break, hearing all the 67s, seeing all the scubas and any other new lingo you guys are going to bring into studio 😭🤣❤️❤️ by @gsquareddancemovement

I started jumping and going wild before the mix started on my radio show on @kfmza - These @gsquareddancemovement dancers got me so excited 🤩 - As a DJ and first-generation Hip Hop practitioner in South Africa, moments like these are truly special. It is both inspiring and humbling to connect with this new generation of dancers and culture bearers. They represent the future of our culture, and experiences like this remind us how powerful Hip Hop can be in bridging generations, building confidence, creating opportunities, and inspiring young people to find their voice.

Last night we kicked off the very first edition of GrandMaster Ready D’s Youth Mix-Up — a celebration of youth, dance, expression, and the power of Hip Hop culture.

Dance is one of the fundamental pillars of Hip Hop. It provides a platform for self-expression, physical activity, mental wellness, creativity, and community connection. Our goal was to bring the energy and excitement of a real dance cypher to the airwaves — and that’s exactly what happened.

Whether you’ve experienced a park jam, a stage showcase, or a dance battle, you’ll recognize that unique energy in this video. I encourage you to watch it from beginning to end and take in the incredible routines, creativity, and passion these young dancers brought into the studio.

This talented crew, made up primarily of young girls with one young man proudly representing for the gentlemen, delivered an inspiring performance. What stood out to me was not only their enthusiasm and skill, but also how they paid homage to old-school dance styles while adding their own fresh energy and interpretation.

A heartfelt thank you to the dance studio and the amazing crew known as G-Squared for bringing their energy, talent, and positive spirit to the show.

I come from Hip Hop Culture, Dance & a Breaking background - that energy, creativity, and spirit have always influenced what I do as a DJ.
