Sabrina, age 3, did an amazing job of raising her LARGE litter of puppies upon arriving at GSROC. All of her babies (except 1) have found their forever homes, and now it’s her turn. She is a stunning girl with an intuitive nature. She focuses on her handler and waits for direction. Sabrina is strong and very athletic, so a home with someone who also has these traits is ideal. She needs an active family or individual so that she can continue to thrive. Sabrina likes other dogs if introduced properly. Unknown with cats, but it’s probably not likely that she would enjoy a cat friend.

Breaking News:

Penny and her 6 surviving puppies are at the vet. Penny is doing well, however her puppies continue to be droopy. Several are refusing the bottle feeding, and even the largest is weak. Penny is not making enough milk to support them, so round-the-clock bottle feeding is essential. We are going everything possible to pull these little fighters through. by @gsrocdogs

1-year-old Bubble is a firecracker! Looking for an active dog? Bubble won’t disappoint at all! As a teenaged Belgian Malinois, Bubble is wired for power and play. She is busy 99% of the time, taking time off only for a nap to recharge!

This girl needs a family that is prepared for an athlete. Bubble wants to see everything, do everything and be everywhere. She has TONS of potential for any dog sport and needs something that she can focus her drive on. Bubble was found abandoned in a remote area with no one around to help her. Thankfully, a passerby got her to safety and held her until GSROC could bring her in.

We are fighting with everything we’ve got to save Penny’s remaining newborn puppies. An incredible foster home is caring for them round-the-clock, supplementing feeding since momma dog is so weak. Ten puppies were born in the shelter 1 week ago, but sadly, we lost a 4th puppy this morning, leaving 6 survivors.

Adventure buddies wanted! 🌊

Dalton and Luka got to spend the day paddle boarding with some of our amazing volunteers, and we’re pretty sure they had the time of their lives. From riding on the board to swimming alongside it, these two German Shepherds were ready for every part of the adventure!

Now they’re looking for their next adventure — a forever home.

Little Tahiti has had a lot of sadness in her short life. At 18 months, she had babies in a scary public animal shelter. Despite rescue efforts, the puppies passed away because they were weak from malnourishment and respiratory illness. Tahiti carries with her a lot of anxiety in new situations. She requires a caregiver who understands that she is insecure, and who will devote a lot of time to building her confidence—confidence that she probably never had in her life.

Tahiti loves to play with other large dogs—we are not sure how she would do with smaller dogs. Her ideal situation would be in a multi-dog family where she could take her cues from the other dogs’ routines. If you are looking to change the life of a dog that really deserves for something kind to happen for her, please take another look at Tahiti at gsroc.org. She will remain on the smaller side, weighing in around 50 pounds at full size.

🚨 Help Urgently Needed! 🚨

GSROC learned of a very young GSD who gave birth to 10 puppies while at the Palmdale Shelter (CA). Poor momma was overwhelmed by all of the noise and commotion, but she was doing her best in a bad situation. Realizing that the family would get sick if they didn’t leave the shelter immediately, GSROC partnered with Eddie’s Heart Rescue (CA) to get them all to our vet.

Momma dog, Penny, is grossly underweight and dehydrated. She is being supplemented with fluids and B12, along with healthy nourishment to build her strength. The two smallest puppies perished on the 2nd day, but the others are receiving fluids and cholostrom injections to give them a fighting chance.
We were not prepared for an emergency case like this and we need donations to help us continue hospitalization care for 8 puppies and Penny. Your gift in any amount is genuinely appreciated AND when you give during “Sheptember”, your gift will be matched up to $40,000 cumulative total!!!
