For the upcoming fall semester we will be changing our meeting dates! We know many of you have prior commitments on Tuesday afternoons, so we are moving our meetings to Mondays to allow as many to come as possible!! We will meet every Monday, but general body meetings will only be bi-weekly. Altering weeks we will then host group study sessions where you can come and study with peers for whatever you have coming up!! We hope you can make it next semester and look forward to growing as an org with you all!!

Our goals for Fall 2026!!

We hope to meet every week on Mondays, but alternating weeks will be general body meeting and other weeks will be optional MCAT/DAT/ Exam group study.
We also hope to help our member explore research opportunities easier. We understand how hard it can be to get in touch with these busy professors and we want to help!
We also hope to help you all find fun volunteer opportunities within the community to give back!
Another goal is to help you all create a community within these rigorous science courses so that you always have a friend to reach out to and study with!

We hope you all love these plans and if you have any more ideas of what you would like to see from us we would love to hear your feedback!! by @gsubiomedical

This week we had the honor of welcoming Ms. Liz from The Button to come and speak to our group! She shared some important information about what she does, how The Button helps the community, and some crazy numbers showing the impact she has made.

We are so grateful for everyone who came out, showed up, and helped pack some bags for the students!! We hope to have Ms. Liz back again soon, and help you all get some volunteer hours, and help out in your community!

Join us for our meeting tomorrow!! We will have a guest speaker from The Button to talk about a volunteer opportunity for yall!! We will also reintroduce ourselves on exec, talk about plans for the org, and discuss dues,etc. Join us from 6:30-7:30 in room 1007 in the Chemistry/Nursing Building. by @gsubiomedical

Here is our calendar for the month of September!!

9/7: Happy Labor Day! Enjoy your day off from classes!!
9/14: Our second General Body Meeting of the semester!! We have a lot of new faces expected to join us soon, so we will be reintroducing ourselves on the exec board and our plans for the org! We also are working on planning something fun that you won’t want to miss!!
9/21: Study Session!! Join us and study for your upcoming exams, or just chill and do some homework! We know you could just study at home….but we encourage you to switch it up and come collaborate with others in your classes and study together!!
9/28: Another General Body Meeting! We will have a fun game planned, an activity, and more information for you all regarding upcoming events and opportunities!!! by @gsubiomedical

We had so much fun getting to meet all of you at The Org Fair!!

Our next meeting will be a study session held on 8/31 from 6-8pm in room 1007 in the Nursing/Chemistry Building. There will be snacks, group study seats, and individual study seats! We hope that we can be there to help connect you with other students in the same boat as you! We hope to see you there!

!!!! I M P O R T A N T !!!!

We are changing our meeting times for this semester. Instead of meeting from 6-8PM, we will meet from 6:30-7:30. Meetings may run past this time, but feel free to come and go as you may need.
Our study groups will still continue with the usual time from 6-8PM. We will still be meeting on Mondays in the same room.

The Org Fair is coming up! Join us in Statesboro at the Russel Union Rotunda on Wednesday, August 26 from 11AM - 2PM.
We will have some games and prizes for everyone as well as some extra information all about us an org. There will be food trucks there as well. Come stop by and win some fun prizes!! by @gsubiomedical

Our first General Body Meeting of the semester is tomorrow!! Come and join us to talk all about our plans for the org., upcoming events, meet your exec, and get to meet people within a broad range of science majors!

We plan to have some snacks, meet exec presentations, time blocking activity, and a couple of fun games!

Here is our event schedule for the month of August! We are excited to welcome back some familiar faces and to welcome some new ones as well!

8/19: GSU First Day of Classes - Welcome back to campus!
8/24: First General Body Meeting 6-8pm - We will meet exec, discuss plans, events, advice, group activities, games, and more!
8/26: Statesboro Org Fair - Come stop by and see us at the Org Fair from 11:00am-2:00pm at the Russell Union Rotunda! There will be games, prizes, and informational handouts!
8/31: Study Group 6-8pm - Bring your homework and come study! Whether you are studying from the MCAT, DAT, GRE, or just getting ahead on school work for the semester, come and join us! It can be hard to hold yourself accountable studying alone, so come join us and join a community! by @gsubiomedical

A message from Cuinn:

My name’s Cuinn and I’m the Director of Member Development. I’m a pre-med, biomedical science major looking to go into oncology. I want this organization to be a a resource for students who love the biomedical sciences but may be having trouble finding their place in the field or in the university. My goal is for the members of this organization to be the best students, mentors, and scientists they can be. by @gsubiomedical
