Is it taking too long for everyone in the 15 person, 2 am festival jam circle to get a break on the gorgeous @johnreischman tune salt spring due to the a form being a little longer?

Solution: turn it into a jig and make everyone play it at once! You can call the tune “Irish Spring” and throw green soap at them if they refuse to do proper 6/8 pick direction. 😂

Really though, salt spring is a wonderful tune and only the strongest melodies can survive shifts in time signatures so well.

This solo from Ize of the World by @thestrokes uses about the entire mandolin fretboard. This is me putting some @mistertaterbug style tremolo over some of it. Not sure how he’d feel about that 🫣 “no part of nothin’” maybe? 😂#mandolin #thestrokes by @gswren

Haven’t posted in a bit! How about closing out the day with the every time you say goodbye outro?

I hope your evening is good and you take some time to enjoy some tunes or well cooked food or just existing. I’m currently cherishing a vid I captured of my 1 year old following the dog around and offering her the chew bone this morning💚.

Loving me some @apollo_picks !

Got a call to sit in with young up and comers from Reno & Dunlap sans Dunlaps. Great pickers and good people.

The family was in town and it was a lovely day to bring the new little one along -the first of many gigs for her I’m sure.

The heart is super full.

Trying out three @honey.picks today: torlon, kirinite, and the mysterious “bee keepers stash”.

Workmanship is great and I love the bee inspired marketing and themes (I think the picks I ordered were a “bumble bee” pick shape - cute!).

Very curious about what the bee keepers’ stash material is.

Drop your opinion for which one sounds best(Instagram compression and iPhone mic notwithstanding):

Little demo of my new instrument- gorgeous and powerful guitar bodied octave by Stu Orser.

Thing is a beast and I’m going to try to learn how to drive it.

Calliope House is the tune.
