isaac, you were one of the most mindful, intelligent, witty, kindhearted people I have ever been blessed to be so close to. you have genuinely changed my life in so many ways. even though i’ve known you my whole life, i am so grateful to call you my best friend this summer.
this year, every one of my friends had the privilege of meeting you. they all loved you instantly. you somehow made everyone feel like they had known you forever. you were quickly invited to parties that were already planned for months from now when we would all be back for the holidays. that was just who you were… the easiest person to love.
you told me multiple times that this summer was, by far, the best summer of your life. i will hold onto that forever. i hope you knew just how much happiness you brought into the lives of me and everyone around you.
i wish i could have one more conversation with you. one more gym day. one more dairy queen ice cream run. one more swim in the river. one more concert. one more laugh.
as much as you yelled at me for “talking too much” at the gym, i wish i could tell you how much i love you and how much you mean to me. you were always right there whenever i needed something.
i love you, isaac. i always will. thank you for giving me a summer i will never forget, and a wonderful friendship that i will carry with me for the rest of my life. you made such a positive impact on my life and so many other people’s lives.
your last text to me that night was that you missed me… i will miss you forever.
