Over 20 years ago, I met someone who would become such an important part of my life.

Clare, you were so much more than a friend. You were someone who believed in me, supported me and loved me for exactly who I was. You had the biggest heart and were one of my biggest supporters.

We shared so many chapters of life, and even though we hadn’t seen each other recently, you were always in my heart. I loved you unconditionally, and I always will.

You helped me grow and become the man I am today, and I will be forever grateful that I got to know you. Love you always and to have had you in my life.

Smooth sailing, CW / Wayno. Until we meet again. Until I see you and you give me that big hug you always used to give me.

FROM BYRON BAY TO THE STAGE 🌿✨

This is what Artist Retreat was all about — our Team Element artists stepping up, sharing their craft and doing what they do best. 🤍

🎤 Glenn taking to the stage to talk all things business, leadership and the journey behind Element.

🎨 Lauren showcasing her passion for colour, working alongside the incredible editorial hairstylist Darren Summors to bring their creative vision to life.

✨ And Liam doing what Liam does best — taking to the stage and creating an absolute styling masterpiece.

Watching our team share their knowledge, creativity and talent with the wider Aveda community was a pretty special moment for us. 🌿

We came home inspired, proud and ready to bring that Artist Retreat energy back to the salon.

Happy 40th JP 🎂

There are people in life who make everything better just by being in it and you’re one of those. You are the reason I am determined, fiercely competitive (sometimes painfully so), and relentlessly obsessive when I put my mind to something. Those traits didn’t just appear, they were shaped by you. I carry them with me every day, pushing myself to be better, and showing my kids that anything is possible when you truly commit.

Becoming a mum has only made me hungrier. Hungrier to chase big dreams. Hungrier to prove that nothing gets in the way if you really want it. I want Bonnie and Hugo to know that grit matters, effort matters, and that belief in yourself can change everything.

I am here because of the person you made me. And I know, without question, I’m making you fiercely proud - just as I was, and always will be, of you.

This life can be so cruel. I don’t miss you less with time, I miss you more. But alongside that heartbreak is gratitude so deep it hurts, because how lucky were Glenn and I were to have you as our dad.

This life is for living. And I’m living it loudly, boldly, and without apology. For me, for my kids, and for you. Always.

It’s not really Mum anymore…

But I still see her, feel her, love her.

She was always fiercely independent - proud, capable, never one to ask for help, Now she depends on us in ways she never would have imagined.

Dementia is the cruelest thing… some days bring light, others are heavy.

But I’m still her boy, and she’ll always be my Mum.
