I did car stuff today 😅

Finally assembled and installed the billet paddle shift mount a designed and made about 10 months ago haha. Zero flex when pulling the paddles, which was an issue with the last setup.

Don’t expect too many more project updates haha

I don’t know anyone in this photo. Not a single person.

Up until yesterday I had zero idea any of these people existed.

Yet somehow, I have been a small part of their lives for the past 7-8 years due to an error through a custom blanket company 😅

My wife received a message(swipe) from a stranger a couple of days ago after they decided to find out who the mystery man from the blanket was.

Absolutely blown away that people who don’t know me or my family would come together and do something like this.

There is a lot of good people out there - better people than me, I’m extremely grateful for the support from complete strangers.

Not really sure I can correctly put into words what this day means to me.

To say Jiu Jitsu has helped me get through a lot of hard times in life would be an understatement. What started out as an outlet, has turned into so much more.

While I’ve learned so much on and off the mats, the friendships and connections I’ve made over the past 15 years have been nothing short of incredible.

Thank you to everyone who came out today, and to all my training partners and professors - past and present.

She said yes to a guy with three kids (red flag?), then went ahead and made us a fourth, and I couldn’t be more grateful or proud of the mother she is.

“In sickness and in health” hits different these days, and I’ve never felt luckier to have her by my side.

Life update.

I don’t really know where to start, what to say, or really what to even think right now. But I figured there are some on here that would like to know.

I have cancer.

I was diagnosed with Melanoma, while we are still waiting to hear the full severity of it, but early indicators are pointing to it being very aggressive and likely to have already spread to lymph nodes and possibly elsewhere.

They kind of prepared us for this news last week, but hearing it confirmed today has been a stab through the heart. My mind is all over the place - and one thing for sure is that I need to stop researching on Google haha

The hardest part so far is looking at my wife and my kids. I feel like I have somehow let them down.

But I know the only way I can let them down is if I don’t give this fight everything I have.

I’ve been referred to the MD Anderson Cancer Center next to talk through prognosis, next steps, treatment, etc.

Best part of pulling a motor? Spending a couple full days with my son Kai - who loves all things cars. Didn’t leave my side once and honestly was a huge help in getting it done!

Motor is officially out, disassembled, and sold.
