From the kitchen to the surf 🌊

Meet Supun Kavinda, a chef and traveler from Weligama who’s found his rhythm between baking and surfing.

By day, he crafts pastries with precision. By evening, he rides the waves that bring him peace.

His story is a reminder that balance isn’t something you find — it’s something you create.

The ocean doesn’t ask you to be perfect. Just ride the wave. 🌊🏄🏾

Today is a very special day for me as I graduate with my English Diploma. I want to sincerely thank my teachers for believing in me and helping me grow. Thank you to my family and friends for your love, encouragement, and support throughout this journey. This achievement is because of you. 🥰🫶🏼 by @gts.kavin

Sometimes, it’s not just the places that make Sri Lanka special.
It’s the warm smiles you meet along the way. 🇱🇰❤️

Maybe the universe is not keeping love away from you.
Maybe it is preparing you for the kind of love you deserve.
Until then, enjoy the sunset, heal, grow, and trust the journey. 🌅🌊☁️

Some days are busy.
Some days are slow.

But every day has its own little story.
Coffee, fresh bakes, long hours, and the simple moments in between.

This is a little part of my life at Unsung Café, Midigama Where I work as a bakery chef.

Not every day is exciting, but I’m learning, creating, and enjoying the journey. ☕🍪

Kandy has a different kind of magic. 🌿

From quiet mornings by the lake to the lights of Maligawa at night, every moment feels like a different story.

Some places you visit.
Some places you feel. ❤️🇱🇰

Be like salt. You don’t need everyone to notice your presence, but when you’re gone, let everyone feel your absence.

On March 1st, I had a surfing accident that kept me out of the water for almost 20 days.

When I finally came back, I was scared. Every time I saw big waves or other surfers, I remembered the accident. For a while, fear was stronger than my confidence.

Then I reminded myself why I started surfing in the first place—because I love it. I love the ocean, the feeling of catching a wave, and being completely present in the moment.

So I kept trying. I never gave up.

Today, I’m surfing again with confidence, enjoying every wave and every moment in the water.

Surfing has taught me one of the biggest lessons in my life: fear is temporary, but growth comes when you keep paddling forward. The ocean reminds me to stay present, trust the process, and enjoy the journey.

Thank you to everyone who supported, encouraged, and believed in me. Your kindness helped me find my way back. 🤍🌊

Before I pop up, I’m filled with excitement. Once I ride the wave, words can’t describe the feeling - you’ll just see it written on my smile. 🥰🌊🏄‍♂️

When I was surfing, a surf photographer took a few shots of me. I never expected pictures like these in my life — truly happy and grateful for this moment.
