Guido Yannitto (@gu1doyan) who lives and works in Salta, Argentina, will take part in a residency from September to December 2026.⁠
⁠
The artist’s practice spans textile, drawing, video, installation and ceramics to explore the criollo loom, a weaving technique often relegated to the margins of regional craft. Yannitto is particularly interested in examining the oral traditions of hand-weaving and the industrial nature of the jacquard loom.⁠
⁠
During his residency, Yannitto will develop ‘To Hack the Loom’. This project focuses on digital glitches such as pixel sorting, channel shifts and corrupted file structures to investigate how these digital errors can be transformed into physical threads.⁠
⁠
As part of his residency, Yannitto will receive production and curatorial support, alongside organised professional development and mentoring opportunities.⁠
⁠

Encontré estás fotos que saco @milidaiello.mda en la muestra Inflexiones de la mirada curada por @roxramosnavarro en el cabildo.
Con petroglifos de cientos de años de distancia y la serie de frontage de 1964 que realizaron Blanca Pastor y Pajita García Bes por los valles de Salta sobre esas mismas piedras.

La distancia adecuada.

Una muestra en la ex Paludica, que iba a durar una semana y duró dos meses :)
con obras de @ivanasalfity @soledad_dahbar @ana.mbenedetti @roxramosnavarro y quien escribe.

Ayer cerramos con una linda charla sobre arte y los caminos.
