#comedy…I’m sorry, guys! (Not really)

Nah for real though, make sure you make your changes early enough (and be clear). Once the process starts, especially with a deadline, or worst, right before delivering the product, will cause so much frustration…you’ll be mad because your timeline won’t be met and your contractors will be annoyed and may charge you extra for the last minute changes, which in turn will frustrate you because you now have to tell your client the contractor is charging for these last minute changes. Whew! So…check, check and check!

Sometimes, the simple things hit the hardest.

Rolld Ice Cream in Santa Maria is giving cute aesthetics, a simple menu, and ice cream that doesn’t need to do the absolute MOST to be good. Not overly sweet, just creamy, delicious, and a reminder that sometimes less really is more.

No 37-page menu! No unnecessary drama! Just good ice cream!

If you’re new to the Central Coast (like us) or just passing through…all the locals know about @rolld_icecream in Santa Maria, CA…Because listen… life is already doing too much. Let the ice cream be simple, yet delicious!

Because adulting is hard. Eat the cupcake & drink the wine!

The whole idea is basically dessert-first wine tasting…each pour is matched with a cupcake designed to complement the wine. So you get everything from rich reds with dark chocolate or espresso infused frosting…to bright whites paired with citrusy, floral or vanilla forward bites!

You get 6 cupcakes (which changes every 2 weeks) and 6 pours (3 reds; 3 whites). Every sip has a sweet match…or a delicious but devilish contrast, but why would you do that to yourself?

If you’re new to the Central Coast (like us) or just passing through…all the locals know about @saarloosandsons in Los Olivos, CA…you only live once so, again, eat the cupcakes and drink all the wine!

I didn’t plan this path, but somehow the path knew where it was taking me…

One invitation turned into education. Education turned into partnerships…and now, we’re getting into conversations about policy and resource that can impact the communities we serve.

Thank you for Loving Leah.

Some of the best memories don’t come with a plan…

Hubby had to work in the Central Valley…I was already working in the Bay. Somewhere between deadlines and directions he hit me with, “Grab a hotel…we doing something tonight.”

Say less!

No overthinking. No calendar. Just two people deciding that life could wait while we went and made a memory instead.

Sometimes the best therapy is loud music, bad dancing, late-night laughs, and your favorite person reminding you that life isn’t only about the hustle.

Here’s your reminder:
Don’t get so busy making a living that you forget to make a life. Some days are meant to be productive. Others are meant to be unforgettable. Let your hair down, laugh until your cheeks hurt, love your people well, and don’t wait for the “perfect time” to live… because sometimes the most beautiful moments (and best memories) are the ones you never planned. 🤍
