It’s been a while since not doing road run training so yesterday 16/7/2026 was all about an easy shakeout. The legs felt a little heavy, but it was good to get back into the rhythm. KOKT Sweeper Duty – 3/7/2026 -4/7/2026Big thank you to @kjoeislost for the invite. I didn’t reply straight away, but after thinking about it, I decided to accept the opportunity to sweep the 50km with @kentlee.trail Every sweeping job is different, and every one teaches me something new. Grateful for the experience, the exposure, and everything I learned from the RD @aiman, RD @acik.suzi ,Trail Master @eman.haiman the team, and the runners along the way.This time we didn’t get to finish with the last runner as we had to collect the course markers. Along the way, we managed to help a few 30km and 18km runners who were struggling with cramps.After coming out of the trail and heading back to the race village, saw a runner sitting by the roadside in pain. He couldn’t move because both legs had cramped badly. I him ORS and called for help. Thankfully, RD Aiman arrived shortly after, and we managed to get him back safely.A big thank you to @suzie, Aiman, @kjoe, li leen and my teammate Kent for the trust, support, and teamwork. And Kent, sorry if I pushed the pace a little too much! 😅Being a sweeper is not about crossing the finish line. It’s about making sure everyone gets home safely.
