WHAT’S FOR LUNCH SERIES

Over the years I took a lot of pictures of my “work” lunches. I figured either the new year year coming you all might want some inspiration so I am going to start posting them. No crazy recipes, no fancy videos, just lunch .

Let me know if you want to see more of these

What’s for Lunch?

Work lunches were not always home made. I used to get an extra one of these when I was in Brooklyn and and bring it for lunch .

This is one of the best sandwiches that I’ve probably ever eaten as a vegan or not even as vegan. It’s just layers and layers of flavor but sadly it’s from a restaurant that is closing. I’ve tagged them in the pictures. I wish I can go one more time, but I don’t think that’s possible swipe to see the ingredients because I hop to be able to re-create this one at home somehow.

Thank you for your amazing food , I hope you will be back one day. All these vegan restaurants closings makes me very sad

only a few more days of @guevarasbk — I’ve only tried some of their sweet pastries before so it was time to try savory things and a meal!!
I got the SCALLION PANCAKE KOUGIN AMANN (10/10)

CHERRY COCOA MACADAMIA NUT COOKIE 🍪(5.5/10)

VEGAN BURRITO 🌯 : Just Egg frittata, smokey “provolone” cheese, hearty rice and beans, savory Impossible chili, creamy cashew crema, and a zesty salsa verde, all wrapped in a soft tortilla and served with mixed greens on the side. 8.5/10!!

I hope I can stop in one more time before Jan 1! Shoutout to Grubhub delivery.

Guevara’s was born in September 2020 — in the middle of COVID chaos, uncertainty, and a whole lot of creativity.
Out of that moment came a fully vegan space rooted in care and community.

You showed up for plant-based comfort, strong coffee, flaky pastries, and our wildly colorful, rainbow-layered tortas — and you kept coming back. You made this place hum in the mornings, glow in the afternoons, and feel like home all day long.

To our customers who believed in vegan food, supported small business when it mattered most, and let us feed you with intention and joy — thank you. To our team who made beauty and magic out of impossible conditions — you are everything.

As we close, we’re overflowing with gratitude for every cup poured, every pastry shared, every table filled with laughter.

Come see us, hug us, sip one more coffee, and eat one last rainbow torta with us. 🌈

Thank you for letting Guevara’s be part of your days.

Happy NATIONAL DONUT DAY 🍩

@elizabethisvegan and I stopped in @guevarasbk today and this donut looked so perfect, I had to get it!

It was so delicious 😍 They also had a bunch of other yummy pastries like croissants, conchas, cookies, and more!

Are you eating a doughnut today to celebrate?
