POSTS STORIES REELS

Right now, I’m in the middle of a four-week fast. Four weeks of nothing but water—no food, and hardest of all, no coffee.

To distract myself, I’ve started reworking my photo archive, pulling out images with stories worth sharing. This one is exactly as you see it—no Photoshop, no montage. It’s the last frame of a roll of film, the double exposure both accident and blessing, depending on how you look at it.

In interviews I’m often asked what I would wish for if granted a single wish. My answer: I would have loved to be born 10 or 20 years earlier. To be part of a music culture where bands like Fleetwood Mac or the Eagles created with time, patience, and love. A culture that valued the art of the process—before the age of “I’ll fix it in the mix.” by @guidokarpla

Going back in time with SUNBOUNCE Awesome Bouncer and master photographer Guido Karp @guidokarpla, passionate lighting by the busiest professional photographers in the world. Enjoy!

Today's my first show in 2021: @thundermother at the @olympicstadium Berlin. So excited - to be back in Berlin, to shoot a show, and most importantly, to meet the wonderful band again! by @guidokarpla

Just popped up on facebook, "do you remember". And yes, I do very well, even though it was taken ages ago. @thomasanders - pre #moderntalking round one, one of my first furniture store sessions (taken at #galeriakoblenz, thanks to #herwigschmied) in my analogue days - #polaroidfilm #olympusOM1 #multiblitzministudio. Until today one of the artists favorite images. by @guidokarpla

Taisia - the corona session.

#happy2021 everyone. While 2020 was certainly a year we will never forget, we did take some precious moments. We started the #kuenstlerhelfen project, and while I "used" insta to showcase some catalogue work, in the forthcoming weeks I will focus on the current charity project work - and tell the stories behind the work. In the meantime, stay healthy and #karpediem, Guido by @guidokarpla
