Final ZAG concept (2024): drawn to the ominous cave mouth carved like a monstrous guardian, our hero feels the pull while his bird companion senses danger.
Jungle vines, crystal waters, and that uneasy glow invite (or warn?)

A small figure with a staff stands near a turquoise pool at the base, while a blue bird perches nearby looking concerned. Sunlight filters through canopy, creating mystical atmosphere in a fantasy savanna world. by @guillon_benjamin

Second early concept from the 2023 ZAG project, continuing our exploration of a magical African‑inspired world.

Testing warm golden light, organic shapes, and that fairy‑tale glow to make the landscape feel alive and mystical. No story yet, just shapes, colors and vibes coming together with a weird animal 😛

Hope you will like it ♥️

Few years ago in @zaganimation I had the chance to develop an other animation feature movie !
Two explorers arrive by boat in a world where humans and animals live as one.
Africa‑inspired landscapes 🥰

Every rock, tree and mist feels alive, part of a bigger harmony they’re about to discover.

Last chapter of this mini‑story.
After Central Park and all the strange looks, the punk misfits decide to show their new recruit the real New York – from the back of a van that should never be allowed to go that fast.

#storytellingart Wide, colorful illustration of a busy New York street in daylight. Tall buildings and bright shop signs frame the scene while a small, beat‑up camper van drifts across the road, leaving smoke behind its wheels. The van is packed with a band of punk misfits giving a young girl a wild, chaotic tour of the city, as taxis and cars rush around them. The image feels fast, cinematic and slightly reckless, like the final scene of an animated movie set in New York. by @guillon_benjamin

✨ Next step in the visual development of our animated feature project: the first official outing of our quirky family in Central Park.

I had a blast working on the composition of this scene to highlight the contrast between our eccentric bunch and the everyday New Yorkers going about their business. The goal was to capture that exact moment when the extraordinary bursts into an ordinary day, bathed in beautiful morning light.

✨Here is one of my very early visual explorations (done in 2022) for an animated feature film project. Back then, the brief was to design the arrival location for our heroine in a gritty New York City, bustling with life and eccentric characters.

Even though the project has taken a different path since then, I still love the urban energy, the neon lighting, and the diverse character designs in this alleyway. That’s the beauty of being a Concept Artist: exploring every possible route! 🎨
