My @uniofstaffs Graduation speech 2025

I can now proudly announce I am a 1st class graduate with honours in the field of Games Design & Animation🎓

I can also Finally and excitedly announce that I have accepted a role as a Full time lecturer of Games Design at my college! Looking forward to talking more about this very soon 👀

It feels surreal to say but I am extremely proud of this accomplishment and am overjoyed with the fact I got to speak about my experience.

Motion capture direction and performance showcase. At University of Staffordshire

Just a look into a few of the projects I worked on and the motion capture shoots I directed for them, honestly this was one the highlights of my time at uni, I’d get super excited everytime I’d plan a shoot and a few of us animators would team up and work with eachother, had a brilliant time work with a range of different actors and walking them through the process.

Even the range and difference of projects I made here is pretty wild when you think about it -

A historical and educational piece about 15th century sword fighting,

A VFX and gameplay concept for a Necromancer based on Diablo 2

A playable escaped mutant monster with destruction physics and atomic breath

A tribute to the PS2 game Manhunt ( bring it back Rockstar Games)

And a elderitch horror cinematic

It got to a point i basically lived in the mocap room ( Vicon to be precise) most of the semesters 🤣 learning to set up shoots , record takes and process data was a really enlightening experience and something i hope to do more of some day!

This video contains shoots from 3 years of doing this, and 3 years of loving it :)

Had my printer for about a month ish now so here’s a collection of bits and bobs I’ve printed and started painting on

Resin is right pain in the arse to work with but looks bloody brilliant once you get the hang of it!
