Honoured to have been awarded Gundog Training of the Year for the fourth time — and what makes this one extra special is that it’s voted for entirely by the clients and handlers we work with.
We made no media push, no campaigns — we simply left it to the people who trust us with their dogs, week in and week out, to decide. That means more than any publicity ever could.
A huge thank you to every client, handler and supporter who took the time to vote and who trusts us to help train their dogs. Your support and results in the field are what drive everything we do.
Here’s to continuing to raise standards in gundog training and producing dogs that people are proud to work and own.
Thank you all — genuinely appreciated.

A dog that has mastered heelwork is a pleasure to walk. A dog that pulls and lunges on the other hand...

In the second episode of our series with dog trainer Ben Randall, we focus on heelwork. You can find the full film on our YouTube Channel, but below are some key hacks:

1. The lead and heel command should both mean something positive – that is the aim from the outset.

2. When teaching your dog to walk to heel, start in a distraction-free environment and use barriers like fences and walls to naturally channel your dog as he or she walks beside you.

3. Avoid overusing the ‘heel’ command; use it once when setting off and then whenever you change direction. Use it too often and it will become meaningless.

4. Practise regularly, with full focus on your dog. How many people do you see distracted by their smartphones when walking their dogs? Our dogs pick up on this.

5. Keep training sessions short, positive, and relaxed.

Difference between a good and a great Gundog is the ability to get them to ignore distractions and focus on you. The leave command is the key by @gundogapp

#bgfoundations using the @gundogapp. Holly has been trained using the Gundogapp since she was 8 weeks old. She is now 2.

The power of “leave”when taught the BG way using the Gundogapp and the reward based principles

This is warm game that Holly flushed and picked 10 mins earlier.

Putting the bird to good use by executing some further drills.

Holly is sat up. The bird is thrown behind her and she is told leave.

She is given the BG Positive Stop whistle followed by the BG Back Hunt whistle.

She turns 180 and starts hunting the area behind her. She holds the area beautifully, all the time ignoring the warm bird. She gets her reward of the BG Heavy Scent Ball.

2nd Winner in Open Class (segrar klass SE) at Flen today! 🥈🇸🇪🥳

A proper day in the field with plenty of rain, wind and one very keen little cocker! 🌧️💨

She was certainly fired up and ready for the job, giving it her all as always.

And judging by the look on her face, she’s rather pleased with herself – especially with that lovely pink rosette! 🎀💗

Very proud of my little brownie🤎 #jaktcocker #workingcocker #jakthund #fieldtrial #gundogapp by @gundogapp
