The look I give when I get a notification that someone thinks they are dating me and that I’m in a Turkish prison and need bail money,
-
stop falling for bull shit, if you have not met someone in person don’t send them money. It’s almost that simple.
-
If you reach out to me just know it’s not me you’re sending money too and there is nothing that can be done, FB and IG won’t even remove the accounts anymore because they are dumb. They would rather censor republican pages than to block scammers impersonating me.

As someone that has changed rolls drastically. One of my many rolls is to review body cam footage of traffic stops.
-
I will say that a fast draw isn’t going to be what saves you here. Setup, pre shooting q’s, placement, and movement are.

The most dangerous part of being a cop is traffic stops.

Stay safe. Train hard.

On December 29, 2022, Riverside County Sheriff’s Deputy Isaiah Cordero was murdered during what began as a routine traffic stop when the driver suddenly opened fire.

The suspect fled, leading deputies and allied agencies on a multi-county pursuit through Riverside and San Bernardino counties before being stopped following a gunfight on Interstate 15 in Norco.

Deputy Cordero served the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department for more than eight years. Rest easy, Deputy. We have the watch from here. by @gunfufighter

A completely different situation than the one posted yesterday. A much closer adversary, a much smaller processing window, and a far more difficult shot.

Despite what many think, most hostage situations will ultimately be a patrol problem. Just like the early days of active shooter response, when officers were taught to establish a perimeter and wait, we’ve learned that hesitation can cost lives. Patrol officers are often forced to rapidly assess an evolving situation, make an intelligent decision under extreme pressure, and deliver an incredibly precise shot, often with little time and no room for error. A speed and accuracy that are not familiar with going. Because it’s a speed and accuracy that haven’t trained at.

Excellent work gents, shout out to the store employees. Did a great job of delaying the suspect.

On May 20, 2026, Glendale officers responded after a woman discreetly signaled for help while attempting to buy a firearm with 33-year-old Daren Howard. Employees delayed the sale until police arrived. When officers contacted Howard, he became aggressive, produced a knife, and attempted to take the woman hostage. Less-lethal options were attempted, but officers fired when they believed her life was in immediate danger. Howard survived, was taken into custody, and faces multiple felony charges. by @gunfufighter

It doesn’t matter if you’re male or female. There are people in this job that shouldn’t be.
-
The standards have been lowered because of what has been done to the profession in the public eye over the years.
-
What once would get 1200 applicants at a time now gets 10.
-
What is the answer to get the standard raised and get more people interested in the job that once held such a high place.
-
I don’t know. But I commend the people doing the job at its highest level for not leaving. I commend the people that stayed regardless of how they felt about command or moral, we need you. We appreciate you.
-
Society parish’s when good people stop pushing to make it a better place.
-
Those still in, those wanting in, Keep crushing. Keep making the positive changes one change at a time. Take it serious. Train hard and often. Learn every day, understand the heart and perseverance it takes to be successful in it.

We’ve all seen the videos of people getting way too close to wildlife. Sometimes it’s an animal that seems harmless. Other times it’s one everyone knows is dangerous. We laugh, shake our heads, and call them idiots because we know they brought it on themselves.

But what happens when they didn’t do anything wrong?

On July 10, 2026, a grandfather and his grandson were walking through Yellowstone National Park’s Bridge Bay Campground. Witnesses say they had been keeping a respectful distance after photographing a bull bison that had already been acting aggressively. Then, without warning, it charged.

The nearly one-ton animal hooked the grandfather and launched him nearly eight feet into the air. Bystanders rushed in, distracting the bison and preventing a second attack. Unlike so many Yellowstone videos, this doesn’t appear to be a case of someone getting too close for a selfie. Sometimes danger doesn’t care whether you made a mistake.

That got me thinking.

It doesn’t matter where you are or how safe you think you are. Whether you’re in a city, the woods, or your own neighborhood, threats exist everywhere, and the world is draped in camouflage.

As a young deputy, I developed a habit that’s stayed with me my entire career. Every call I’d ask myself, “What if?” What if he pulls a gun? What if he charges? What if that car doesn’t stop?

I didnt think I was being paranoid. I was mentally rehearsing. If the unexpected happened, I wanted to act, not waste any time deciding what to do.

That mindset doesn’t just apply to police work. Know your exits. Pay attention to your surroundings. Ask yourself, “If this suddenly went bad, what would I do?”
Will that stop every bad thing from happening? No. But thinking ahead and learning from others can buy you precious seconds when they matter most.

Thankfully, the grandfather survived. Credit also belongs to the people who ran toward the danger instead of simply filming it. Their actions likely prevented a much worse outcome.

Stay alert. Stay humble. Stay dangerous.

Thanks for the video, @ironfive0 .
