Our team had the pleasure of visiting the "Sikh Stories in Colour" exhibition (by IM1313), currently hosted at the Herbert Art Gallery & Museum in Coventry. Running from 13th October through 5th November 2026, this captivating display celebrates Sikh faith, history, and identity through vibrant storytelling and animation. Seeing how media can bring Sikhi to life for both young and old highlights the power of creative learning in enriching our children's understanding of their heritage. The vision and hard work behind this project are truly inspiring. If you haven't had a chance to visit Coventry yet, we strongly encourage you to go before it closes. There are plenty of opportunities to engage and explore. Visitor Information: Dates: 13 October – 5 November 2026 Venue: Herbert Art Gallery & Museum, Jordan Well, Coventry CV1 5QP Opening Hours: Tuesday–Saturday: 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM | Sunday: 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM (Closed Mondays) Enjoy and be amazed. #GurdwaraAid #BetterTogether #IM1313 #Exhibition #Storytelling by @gurdwaraaid

Gurdwara Aid wishes to thank the Birmingham Gurdwaras Sahibs for attending the latest surgery held early October . The Gurdwaras were updated and consulted on a range of issues affecting the Sikh community. The Anand Karaj guidance was warmly welcomed and we anticiapte readiness in the very near future. The Kirpan still features heavily in conversations and Gurdwara Aid continues to engage with both Government and across the Sikh community up and down the country. There Sikh community has and always will hold true to its values as being honest, hard working and responsible. #GurdwaraAid #BetterTogether #Supporting #Gurdwara by @gurdwaraaid
This week at the Ealing Hate Crime Strategy Launch, organised by Cllr Jasbir Anand and her team, Gurdwara Aid was represented on the panel by Mandip Singh and Surinder K Sahota. The discussion focused on how faith and community groups can help bring people together, build understanding, and tackle prejudice before it escalates into hate crime. Mandip talked about the growing influence of social media and how online content can shape people's views and lead to radicalisation, stressing the need to actively counter those messages online. Surinder spoke about the importance of our foundational roots, how families, local communities, and wider networks need to step up early to guide, support, and educate people so prejudice never gets the chance to take root in the first place. #GurdwaraAid #BetterTogether #HateCrime #HateaCrimeAwarenessWeek26 by @gurdwaraaid

We welcome the news of Jagtar Singh Johal’s release on bail and his long-awaited reunion with his family after almost nine years apart. We recognise and commend the tireless campaigning, resilience, and unwavering strength shown by his family and supporters throughout this journey. While his legal process continues, this is a deeply significant step forward, and our thoughts remain with his family as they come together. Delightful engagement with the Mayor of Wolverhampton and a pleasure to be presenting a copy of the Gurdwara Handbook. The productive meeting saw a meeting of minds and the start of what appear to be pioneering initiatives. Looking forward to the continued support from such a forward looking Mayor, thank you Councillor Paul Singh. #GurdwaraAid #BetterTogether #Wolverhapton #Mayor by @gurdwaraaid
