One Year. Many Melodies. Countless Memories. 🎶

It was a beautiful morning at the GurgaonMoms Melody Club October Meetup, made even more special as we celebrated one wonderful year of music, friendship and togetherness!

A year ago, we began this journey with a simple thought—to bring together women who love music. Today, looking back at the melodies we've shared, the friendships we've built and the smiles we've created, my heart is full of gratitude and happiness.

The beauty of GurgaonMoms Melody Club lies in what it stands for. If you love music, you belong here!

There is no judgement, no age limit, no need to be a trained singer, and absolutely no pressure to be perfect. It's simply a space where we come together, sing our hearts out, rediscover our favourite melodies and find a little sukoon amidst the chaos of everyday life.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who made our anniversary meetup so special through your enthusiastic participation, beautiful singing and wonderful energy. You are what makes this circle so beautiful!

The exhibition celebrates the beauty of Indian heritage, craftsmanship, fashion and all that makes the festive season so special. We collaborate with Dolly Jain, the legendary sari protagonist to host a draping workshop 2 pm onwards. Curate a vintage moment with historic automobiles lent to us by HMCI, host a series of curated walk throughs of the exhibition for you and invite you to relive the maharani era through the day.

We would be delighted to welcome you on 13th October at the Grand Hyatt, Gurugram anytime between 11 am to 9 pm.

If our child runs into trouble online, will they feel safe coming to us?

This question kept coming up at the first Family Tech Table, where 21 parents joined us on September 24 for an honest conversation about raising children in a digital world.

Led by @fly_like_a_girl , parents shared screen-time rules that worked, compromises that didn’t, and the challenges of keeping up with children who often know more about technology than we do.

In age-based groups, they explored scenarios involving accidental gaming purchases, exclusion from class chats, emotional reliance on AI companions and threats to share private images. Together, they discussed what a parent could do, what to say, and which reactions might make a child less willing to ask for help.

One strong message emerged: parents want practical guidance for difficult moments, including how to listen, respond calmly and know when to seek support.

Thank you to our Founding Contributors for sharing so openly. Your experiences will help shape the **Digital Safety Handbook for Parents**, co-created by GurgaonMoms and The Quantum Hub, with @googleindia as our Technology Partner.

🔐 Keeping Our Kids Safe in a Digital World

The world our children are growing up in is changing faster than ever. From social media and online interactions to AI and digital privacy, keeping kids safe today means understanding the risks that come with technology.

It was wonderful to be part of a future tech talk with fellow moms, discussing digital safety, responsible technology use, and how we can better prepare our children for the world ahead.

As an insurance advisor, I’ve always believed that protection starts with being prepared — whether it’s protecting our family’s future financially or helping our children navigate the digital world safely. ❤️

Because protecting our children isn’t just about planning for tomorrow. It’s about preparing them for the world they are growing up in today.

Some mornings just leave you smiling long after they are over…

Our September GurgaonMoms Melody Club morning was one of those.

There was music, loads of masti, laughter, peppy numbers, a little bit of item song madness and, most importantly, wonderful women simply being themselves. We sang, we danced, we cheered each other on and forgot, even if just for a few hours, about everything else.

And what makes this club so special to me is the beautiful mix of women across age groups. There is something so heartwarming about watching women of different generations come together, leave their inhibitions behind and sing their hearts out without worrying about how they sound.

Because that’s what GurgaonMoms Melody Club is really about.

No judgement. No “I’m not a singer.” No inhibitions.
If you love music, you belong here. 🎤

GurgaonMoms Melody Club – August Meetup | Yaari Dosti Special

A morning filled with beautiful melodies, laughter, friendship and loads of fun

Our Yaari Dosti Special was all about celebrating the beautiful bond of friendship through music. From soulful friendship songs to some of our favourite Bollywood melodies, everyone came together, sang along and simply had a wonderful time!

A big thank you to our wonderful host, @chitraasharma_cuisineo , member of GurgaonMoms and @cuisineobanquet , for her warm hospitality and the absolutely amazing food she lined up for us.

About our last GurgaonMoms : Moms Unpaused Catch-up - to each one who joined - thank you so much for bringing along your warmth, smiles and wonderful energy.

The conversations, laughter, shared stories and easy camaraderie made the afternoon so much more than just a catch-up. It was simply women being themselves, connecting, sharing and enjoying a few beautiful hours together.

A very special thank you to @neela_gurgaonmoms for creating GurgaonMoms — a platform where women can connect, find their tribe, share their journeys and, most importantly, be themselves without the fear of judgement... And #GurgaonMomsMomsUnpaused - a thoughtful extension of the same.

A big thank you to @subarna.das and the entire team of @oribonngncr for so graciously hosting us and treating us to such a delightful brunch. The warmth of the space (and the food! ) made our afternoon even more special.

An invitation from Google. A room full of conversations. And a perspective I'll carry with me for a long time. 💙

A few days ago, I was invited by Google to attend the Connected Families event, hosted in collaboration with YouTube, alongside a select group of women from the Gurgaon Moms community.

The event also marked the launch of Google's Connected Families Guide, built around a simple but powerful thought:

"Protect children and teens in the digital world, not from the digital world."

Listening to Roma Datta Chobey, Managing Director, Connected Consumer Commerce, Google India, Dr. Garth Graham, Director and Global Head of Healthcare & Public Health at YouTube, Dr. Manoj Kumar Sharma, Professor of Clinical Psychology at NIMHANS, and Sonal Kaushal, the voice behind Doraemon in Hindi, I realised that although each of them came from different worlds, they were all pointing towards the same truth.

Healthy digital habits are built through awareness, participation and trust.

One line from Dr. Garth Graham has stayed with me ever since:

"From policing to participating."

As someone who spent over 17 years in marketing and now works as a nutrition and fitness coach, I couldn't help noticing something familiar.

Whether we're talking about food, fitness, technology or parenting, behaviour doesn't change because we control people. It changes because we help them understand.

That was my biggest takeaway from the event.

Thank you Google, YouTube, Gurgaon Moms, and all the speakers for creating such a thoughtful and much-needed conversation. ❤️

A heartfelt Thanks to @neela_gurgaonmoms @anshu_gurgaonmoms @gurgaonmoms and team to provide the opportunity to attend Google India’s Connected Families: Building Healthy Digital Habits event, and I came back with four powerful words that made me rethink our relationship with technology.

🌅 Digital Sunset – Unplug before bedtime.
📵 Digital Fasting – Take intentional breaks from screens.
🧹 Digital Hygiene – Build healthier digital habits every day.
💙 Digital Resilience – Learn to navigate the online world with balance and confidence.

My biggest takeaway-Technology isn’t the enemy—unhealthy digital habits are. As parents and role models, children learn far more from what we do than what we say.

Grateful to have been part of such meaningful conversations. Here’s to creating healthier digital habits, one small step at a time.

As parents, we spend years teaching our children how to cross a road safely, talk to strangers, or make the right choices in the real world.

Yet today, a large part of their world exists behind a screen.

Yesterday, while attending Connected Families: Building Healthy Digital Habits, hosted by @googleindia and @youtubeindia I found myself thinking that perhaps digital parenting isn't really about technology at all.

It's about relationships.

Because no app, no filter and no setting can replace a child who knows they can come home and say, "Something online made me uncomfortable." Without the fear of being judged or having their phone taken away.

That, perhaps, is where digital safety truly begins.

The conversations through the afternoon reinforced a simple truth: the goal isn't to raise children who are afraid of technology. It's to raise young people who know how to use it thoughtfully, question it wisely and step away from it when needed.

As parents, we may not always understand every new app or trend.

But we can always choose to remain a safe space for our children.

Grateful to have represented Team @gurgaonmoms at this meaningful conversation.

Thank you, @neela_gurgaonmoms , for creating opportunities that encourage conversations every family should be having.

Because in a world that's becoming increasingly digital, staying emotionally connected may be the greatest gift we can give our children.

What a magical morning it was at the GurgaonMoms Melody Club – July Meetup!

A morning filled with soulful melodies, infectious energy, endless laughter, and a whole lot of music! This month, we came together to celebrate the timeless magic of the legendary R.D. Burman (Pancham Da), singing some of his most memorable classics and reliving the golden era of Bollywood music.

A heartfelt thank you to Aastha Chadha ( @astha1chadha ) for conducting such a beautiful session, sharing fascinating anecdotes and stories about Pancham Da that made us appreciate his genius even more.

A big shout-out to Kamalini for her electrifying performance that had many of us up on our feet, dancing and singing along!

A special thank you to our wonderful hosts, Sangeeta and Deeksha ( @thedee_life ), for opening their home to us and making everyone feel so welcome. And an extra thank you to Deeksha for the absolutely delicious food spread by GlazenGourmet.( @glazengourmet )

Every GurgaonMoms Melody Club meetup reminds me why we started this community..to bring together women who share a love for music.

At the GurgaonMoms Screen Club, we don’t just talk about films and shows, we talk about why those stories stayed with us.

The characters we saw ourselves in. The families that reminded us of our own. The scenes that made us laugh, cry, reflect... and sometimes even pick up the phone to call someone we love.

This month’s theme was ‘Family Dramas’ and this meet was filled with heartfelt conversations, laughter, nostalgia, wonderful recommendations, and the joy of discovering how one story can mean something completely different to each of us.

That's the magic of Screen Club.

It's never just about what's on the screen. It's about the people around the table and the stories we carry home with us.

A heartfelt thank you to our wonderful venue partner, Houz Café, for hosting us so warmly and making the afternoon so special.
