Listening to the retired judge Giribala Singh, my blood boils, just like it has for decades at demonic women upholding Patriarchy. Generations have changed but the rot in our society remains the same, more toxic when camouflaged by education and power. I shudder to think there are women like these in our judiciary. One can pardon the ignorance of fools, but how does one uncover the mask of the woke

For parents of daughters, the apathy and tragedy becomes doubly personal. Giribala’s rot is in her DNA, sadly here are too many Giribalas amongst us, erudite, accomplished powerful predators, baying for the blood of women who don’t fit into the rotten mould

I choose to put out my personal pics to scream how personal it is, the loss of a child, to rabid patriarchy and how disgusting is the vilification of girls, alive or dead

My self imposed work-life-work trapeze ended with an accidental thud, on the quietest beach up North in Goa ! I panic to take a break, unless it is work, I find it difficult to give myself grace, to take a deep breath and step back in. But it had to be the ‘force quit’, pause to restart !

The perks ! discovering @vaayukula - the oasis in the sweltering summer heat, a beach bed away from the hidden beauty of Mandrem shore, the must, must, must do place for the food, the vibe and the solitude !

Lastly, North Goa gem, @acajaibagoa cafe, a warm cozy living room under the open sky, canvas sheet tied to palm trees for movie screen, board games, artists, music - you come and go as you like, leave a small donation, a gentle, enriching place. While catching a ‘circus’ I mostly missed, watching guests do impromptu performance calisthenics, movie night sunk into the much used large sofa and discovering the art and beauty of #ronitalkabetz in @thebandsvisit - I kept thinking how to build a space like this in land locked Dilli ! In a way my dearest @ shimmiedandstomped does this at her home, book readings and movie nights - I have longing to attend. #goa #mandrem #india taken in Prana Mandrem by @gurpreetwasi
