Relate Radio 📂

My recent visit to Relate Radio is now up on SoundCloud and Youtube. Played a hybrid set of one hour with my favourite recent digs and very happy with how it turned out. Thanks @relate.radio for the hospitality and for hosting me!

Some snippets from two weeks ago, setting the tone for @zevengroningen ‘Afterhours’ party in @fixy.groningen

Had a lot of fun playing more deep and seeing people progressively get into it.

Part of the set was recorded too, so I’ll share that soon as well 💾

Thanks for the great evening! ❤️ taken in FIXY.Groningen by @gurts.dj

SECOND ARTIST ANNOUNCEMENT: @gurts.dj

GURTS is a Groningen-based artist drawn to the house music of the ’90s and early 2000s. His sets are built for the dancefloor, while always leaving room for lesser-known gems, whether on vinyl or digitally. His sound leans towards the deeper and more understated side of dance music, with a particular love for dub, deep house, tech-house and records that reward a closer listen. With appearances at Reces, FIXY and Relate Radio, GURTS is steadily establishing himself within the electronic music scene.

GURTS is een van de nieuwe talenten van Groningen, en we zijn blij dat hij de nacht voor ons opent, wees er vroeg bij! 🖤

Random but collected memories 💭

Currently in the chaos of moving houses, but wanted to share some impressions from the past few months. I’ve also been thinking about starting a little series where I share some music but still figuring out what format feels right.

Special thanks to everyone who invited me to play during this time 🤎 Also happy to say that September is shaping up to be a good one too. More on that later by @gurts.dj

Groningen-based @gurts.dj draws on sonic roots that run deep into the ’90s and early 2000s. With a keen ear for groove and a passion for older house tracks, he blends styles ranging from house and progressive through to tech-house. Infused with driving, percussive grooves, his punchy, rhythm-focused sets evoke a sense of nostalgia while remaining firmly relevant on today’s dancefloor. For this mix, he dug into his record collection at home and captured it on vinyl, with a focus on house, tech-house, and percussion.

One week ago I got the chance to play at @fixy.groningen again for a very special club night, this time in the main room 🔴

A perfect opportunity to finally play a part of my collection I’ve been wanting to bring out for a long time, especially in a setting filled with smoke and dim red light. It turned into an unforgettable and humbling learning experience playing alongside the insanely talented @emmz.dj and @spray.forever Thanks to everyone who came early! ❤️

The two hour ride is now up on SoundCloud! 🚕

Huge thanks to @musicbybrybry for having me ❣️

That was fun! 🪩

Thanks @recesgroningen for having me open the mainstage. Nothing better than kicking off the festival with some of my favourite slower house tunes. The set’s up on SoundCloud for anyone who missed it — link in bio.

Until next time 💚
