POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
✨ Leadership isn’t about having all the answers. It’s about having the courage to keep learning, growing, and showing up authentically.

Honored to have been selected for the American College of Gastroenterology Emerging Leadership Program this year.

What made this experience special wasn’t just the leadership lessons; it was the honest conversations about self-doubt, setbacks, difficult decisions, mentorship, and staying true to your values while pursuing ambitious goals.

💎The biggest takeaway? There is no single path to leadership. The most impactful leaders aren’t the loudest voices in the room, they are the ones who create space for others to succeed.

Grateful to the incredible faculty for sharing not only their expertise, but also the stories behind their journeys, and to my fellow participants for the thoughtful discussions, vulnerability, and camaraderie.

Leaving inspired, energized, and reminded that authenticity is not a weakness in leadership; it’s a strength. 🚀

A first I’ll never forget. 🤍

Last week, I did my first-ever faculty call as a GI attending at the same institution where I started my training seven years ago.

There is something uniquely meaningful about growing within an institution that has given you opportunities at every stage to learn, lead, teach, build, and eventually, to give back.

It also struck me during this first call how much I genuinely love teaching.

I loved watching the team think through a case. I loved asking the “why.” I loved sharing the little things I’ve picked up along the way. And honestly, I just had so much fun.

There are so many firsts in medicine and we spend so much time chasing the next milestone that sometimes we forget to look back at how far we’ve come.

Here’s to the new firsts and to all attendings, colleagues and staff members who help prepare me for it 🥂

Back2Basics & #IBD Algo
🎯Very early onset IBD #Crohns #UlcerativeColitis #VEOIBD
With #DrDavidLevine @gut.md_ & @gutsglory.md

🧒🏻Definition: Age on onset <6
🔺Make up 15% of all PedsIBD
🧬~15-20% having a monogenic cause — especially infants <age 2
📈 VEO-IBD is on the rise

💎 Dz location: Colon ++ (94%); isolated ileal disease rare
🔬 Histology clues — eosinophilic infiltrates, ⬆️apoptosis; villous blunting/atrophy, ⬆️IEL — can point to monogenic disease
⏰💎All pts should get genetic evaluation

⏰⬇️ Response to TNFi in VEOIBD vs in older kids
✅ IFX 3-yr maintenance 12% VEOIBD vs 67% in REACH trial
💎 Recommendations to ⬆️ réponse to IFX:
✅ Body Surface Area-based dosing (200 mg/m²) + tight TDM
✅🎯 IFX levels: >23 before 2nd infusion, >10 @ maintenance

🧬Monogenic VEOIBD management
💎 Genetic mutation guides targeted therapy, identify CI to drugs
✅ Abatacept for CTLA4/LRBA deficiency
✅ Anti-IL18 for NLRC4
✅ Rapamycin for FOXP3/PIK3CD before HSCT
✅ Hematopoietic stem cell transplant
🚨💎Critical: AVOID TNFi in CGD
🚨💎Hematopoietic stem cell transplant is potentially curative !

Miles of highway, early mornings, long days, and then heading back home to my girls as many night as I could.

To all the moms in training, especially the women trying to build careers while raising tiny humans, these seasons can feel heavy. We miss moments, stretch ourselves thin, and sometimes wonder if our children will understand why we’re chasing these dreams so fiercely.

I hope one day my daughters look back and see a mom who worked hard not just to build a better life for them, but to show them what’s possible.

I hope they grow up knowing your dreams are never too big, your goals are never too ambitious, and you never have to choose small to make others comfortable. Chase what sets your soul on fire. I’ll always be cheering for you. 💜

To the world who sees just snippets of perfecly curated moments online, she is not lucky, she worked hard for her dreams! taken in Mayo Clinic Jacksonville by @gutsglory.md

A couple of weekends ago at Scrubs & Heels 💫✨

I walked into that weekend carrying some heavy news 🤍 the kind that sits quietly in your mind even when you’re smiling.

But this space… these people… this energy 💕
Somehow made room for both things to exist.

Between the hugs 🤗, the laughs 😂, the inspiring conversations 💬, and just being around my people.. I found little pockets of light 🌿✨
Moments where I could just be myself, no explanations needed.

It reminded me that it’s okay to slow down 🕊️
To keep some thoughts to yourself 🤍
To take a breath and just exist for a bit 🌸

I left feeling lighter, recharged ⚡, and so grateful for community and connection 💕

Sometimes, the most healing thing you can do is simply show up and let yourself be 💫 taken in Omni PGA Frisco Resort & Spa by @gutsglory.md
