This Saturday July 25th, my solo show at Monica de Cardenas Zuoz @monica_de_cardenas_gallery opens. This is my first show in Switzerland and in the beautiful Engadin region. The gallery in Zuoz, an historic structure from the 15th (!) century is a profound and poetic space to experience art. The show is built up of works in five different sizes and a myriad of subject matters that have been infused and inspired by the work and life of Walter Benjamin. Guy Yanai’s (@guy_yanai) publication INSECURITY is available at our gallery store and online.Yanai traces the PDFs he sent out to supporters, collectors, curators, and friends before each project between 2020–2023. What began as a sense of “insecurity” during the early weeks of the Covid pandemic—when Yanai thought “that art was over”—evolved over time.
