The Netflix Documentary: “The Real Fake Fans.”
Because too many people whose first anime was viewed in 2020 getting carried away with how they speak with the OGs. I love that anime is mainstream now but yall need to relax lmao.

For the rest of this year, may your mantra be:
“I am not behind, I am at the beginning
of the version of me that finishes.”

Six months into 2025.
Three months until my first residency.
Life has been heavy. Fast. Loud. Quiet. All the things, all together, all at once.
A strange oxymoron of joy and sadness.

But even the saddest stories
can hold beauty.
Everyone is carrying something
and still, we create.

Do what you love.
Create through the chaos.
Because some of the most honest art
is formed when the world (or your life) is on fire.

If you haven’t heard, I was selected to be apart of the fall ‘25 cohort of the @fusion_intl artist residency! I am so grateful for this opportunity to grow as a digital creator and to anyone who has already supported me in any way, thank you.

Younger me, the artist that drew and eventually fell in love with digital art is proud. 🫶🏾 If you are not able to donate please share, any form of support is appreciated.

Fear: What if?
Faith: Even if.

I don’t think I’ve fully sat and took in the fact that I’m going to frickin JAPAN! Not as a tourist but as an artist. Grateful for the talent of visual story telling and even more grateful my lack of confidence in my talent is slowly leaving me.

Stop thinking “What if I’m not good enough?” Or “What if I don’t crowd fund enough?”
Start thinking “Even if I don’t, I’m making it work. I got in this residency and I’m getting there, period.”

If you’d like to contribute to the my Journey to Japan 🇯🇵 fund please click the link in my bio.

I’m thinking of revamping my IG, but knowing me I’ll probably forget so we’ll see. So, to my followers (new and day 1) in an effort to be better allow me to reintroduce myself with 5 fun facts.

1. Guyatian is the combination of the words Guyanese & Haitian. Given to me by my best friend @quantoochill
2. I love watching anime but have a hard time finishing series because I have commitment issues and hate when good things end. 🥲
3. Im a freelance photographer, videographer and producer. Follow @guyatiannarrative for my work and also some vibey merch 🌴 also subscribe to my @youtube channel
4. I’ve been a home body pre-covid. I don’t go outside lol unless I’m working out. Def not your typical Sagittarius
5. I have no idea where I got this sweatshirt from

[swipe left] Ok so I got told by 3 people to upload these to my actual page. So here damn. 😭
.
.
.
.
The backstory to this is simple. I’ve been home for over a month and woke up one day feeling crazy. Aside from being a weirdo on Tik Tok, I haven’t done anything creative thanks to Covid-19. So I found a sheet I never used and remembered I had balloons I never opened and had an impromptu self photoshoot. .
.
.
Oh and the last pic was shot on my iPhone, if you don’t have a camera remember light is your friend when shooting on a phone. Stay safe y’all ❤️❤️ by @guyatian_
