New Orleans 🍾🥂🍴🍷

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

My best friend passed away last week. There are no words to portray the shock and grief we are feeling, and we want to be all together this Sunday to share memories and hold each other and remember all the special, joyful things about Mary’s life.
.
We love her and we know how many people she touched and held close during her life.
.
Please join us at Cafe Malou on Sunday the 27th at 5pm to celebrate Mary. There will be a reception to follow at the Columns on St. Charles Avenue. 💗 taken in New Orleans, Louisiana by @gwenahees

I have some hard news to share about my best friend Mary. Almost everyone who knows me knows this beautiful gal, and has seen firsthand how funny and smart and cool she is.
Mary is very sick. She was recently diagnosed with Stage IV colon cancer that has spread significantly to her liver. In a very short period of time her health has declined a great deal. She is currently hospitalized and receiving specialized care.
This is shocking and it doesn’t feel real. It’s also shocking how expensive it is to be sick in this country. The weight of the financial burden of receiving treatment compounds an already difficult journey. We’re going to do everything we can to make sure Mary can focus on the fight.
Like me, Mary has worked in hospitality her entire adult life. In our industry, you constantly give of yourself - to guests, to colleagues, to the community. Mary has been such a bright presence in the lives and dining experiences of so many people. And now she needs us to give back to her.
Please follow the link in my bio to help. Or share the link with anyone you think could help.
Mary needs us now. 💗 taken in New Orleans, Louisiana by @gwenahees

The pubs of Oxford, including the one where William Jefferson Clinton definitely did *not inhale* pot smoke in the alley, people for scale, and Michael thinking if he stops smiling I’ll stop taking pictures 😆🍻🥧 @turf_tavern #thebearpuboxford taken in Oxford University, England by @gwenahees
