In 2025, I shot a total of 7 documentary short films
( my lucky number , green light @mathewmccournaghay ) varying all the way from 4 minutes to 1 hour. I chose to showcase these three based off their distinct settings, scale and emotional tone — a 12-day moose hunt in Alaska, to a professional athlete balancing motherhood and competition, to the simple, intentional life of a tattoo artist. Rather than bombarding you with imagery I decided to pick these three and let them breathe.

Exploring narrative work in depth this year is one of my key focuses, now with the time around projects that I do have. Hence the “The year of … “ title. It’s something I have found extreme passion for over the past year and am truly stoked to learn more about.

Here’s a very brief glimpse into both.
