Definitely not the start to the school year we expected. Two unexpected ICU stays took up almost the entire first month, and September hasn’t gone as planned either. Life changed quickly, and there have been so many adjustments along the way.

Still, last week brought a BIG milestone: the first full week back at gymnastics. 💜 Today brought another, a new floor routine! After everything these past several weeks have held, having something to look forward to this season feels so good.

There really aren’t enough words to thank everyone who has loved on us through all of this. During some of the scariest and most uncertain days, we never felt like we were carrying it alone. Every prayer, message, phone call, visit, meal, check in and quiet reminder that someone was thinking about us meant more than anyone probably realized. And the love didn’t stop once we left the ICU. People have continued to check in, encourage us and simply be there. That kind of love has kept us solid on the days when things felt anything but solid, and we will never forget it.

There’s still a journey ahead, but for now, we’re celebrating progress, a little normalcy and a return to the things that bring joy.

The loudest support isn’t always the one you hear.

Sham is the quiet one, but he made the road trip to Gator Camp just to be there for his sister. He always has an opinion, always has her back, and when last season got tough, he made sure a temporary moment didn’t become a permanent decision. Most importantly, he made sure her smile came back.

Day 2 at camp was wild in the best way!
