OUT NOW!

De Studio, 2020-2025
@timhooijmans

This book marks five years of De Studio.

More than a catalogue of lighting fixtures, it is a document of the ideas, processes, materials, and gestures that have shaped the studio’s work over the past five years.

The book offers a look behind the objects: how they are conceived, developed, tested, assembled, and ultimately made. Bringing together finished pieces with details of materials, components, tools, workspaces, and hands at work, it reveals the often invisible stages behind each lamp.

De Studio designs and manufactures its own work, keeping the process close and largely in-house. There is no anonymous factory behind the objects. Every material is sourced, every component selected, every wire cut and soldered, and every screw assembled by the studio’s small team.

The book is out now.
Get your copy at our website and soon at selected bookshops.

Limited edition of 150 copies.
