PROUD GRANDSON MOMENT!!

It’s hard to put into words how special this moment was. I had the honor of celebrating with my Papa Daniel the opening of Resilience - an intergenerational exhibition of Haitian artists located at the Charles Evans Inniss Memorial Library Art Gallery at Medgar Evers College.

As a lifelong artist, Papa teaches me to never dim my creative light, to remember where I come from, and to always keep pursuing what fulfills me. From paintings to cologne to jewelry to sculpture to instruments and so much more, Papa is truly a creator of love, knowledge, and freedom. My biggest inspiration.

I hope that everyone who experiences his work learns something. Or feels something. About him, about yourself, about Haiti, about America, about humanity. It’s all there. It’s intergenerational. His message has always been loud and clear for those who take the time to observe.

On va de l’avant. We go forward. With love love love ❤️ 🇭🇹 taken in Medgar Evers College, CUNY by @h_beams

I’m so late with this post, but wow I’d really like to share the incredible experience @max.charles1 and I had shooting the @boomyardla Stage at Cali Vibes music festival a few weeks ago.

First, I just want to commend @boomyardla for organizing an amazing set list of reggae, dancehall, and R&B performers. Live music events are tough work, let alone putting on a three day lineup of really special artists from all around the world; some of my favs being @kaylan.arnold, @stonebwoy, and @blvkh3ro.

Second, I cannot stop thinking about how great of an experience the @calivibesfest was as a whole. It was truly the most organized, well staffed, accessible, and well thought out concert experience I’ve ever seen. They had a person at every trash station helping you sort your trash ?!? And they were giving artists and production crews free custom molded ear plugs to promote health for people who work in live music ?!? Giving out Narcan to raise awareness for overdose and how to handle it ?!? Clear maps, access to water and clean bathrooms, and several paramedic tents ?!? So many of these other shows don’t provide nearly any of that, and I’m sure many of us who enjoy live music have seen what can happen without these basic amenities. Sorry to rant but I’m passionate about this 🤣

Also… Long Beach is such an incredible place to have a music festival. I was just so stunned by the beauty of it all like the sunset over the aquarium and port, or the surprise drone show!!!

Cherry on top was seeing some legends like @wizkhalifa and @theroots :))

Big thank you to @alyshajweinat for the opportunity to shoot for Boomyard, definitely one for the books !! taken in Long Beach, California by @h_beams

They keep askin when I’m free, tell them I’m always expensive 💥📢🎶 For their Holiday Gifted campaign, @max.charles1 submitted a video to @telfarglobal sharing my story of how I struggled to carry all of my Diabetes medical supplies around with me in a stylish and comfortable way. Telfar saw his video and gifted to me my first Telfar bag!

Is it giving Telfar x T1D campaign to raise awareness for Type 1 Diabetes?? 👀 Just a fun idea we had being inspired by this experience. We’re visual learners though, so we had to take some test shots… these were the results 😊

Amaria - 11/05 at The Peppermint Club

I want to say congratulations to @amariamcgee for her first ever headline show, and thank you for inviting me to photograph the moment! Amaria makes some of the smoothest and most soulful music out there right now, and it was an honor to work with such an inspirational artist. To many more 🥂

JD’s Revenge

Shot some pics of @jeandeaux for her panel talk at Soho House in West Hollywood last week. JD’s art transcends beyond the limitations of genres and categories, and music is only one of her many creative tools. It was super cool to hear more about her story and journey to becoming an accomplished artist and industry professional.

Thank you @_ayiakaj for the opportunity 🫶🏽. Be sure to check out the first episode of the Heavy mini series on YouTube!
