Okay guys this is gonna be a long caption. I just wanted to share my weekend at Spencer lake! Friday through Sunday my church group from uwgb, Chi Alpha, went to a fall retreat at Spencer Lake and the entire weekend was packed full of fun activities to do! Friday night there was a hoedown so I learned a ton of new dances and after that there was a bonfire!! Saturday we had worship and a couple of breakout sessions and some really fun games of volleyball (which my team came in second!) and then 🥁 🥁🥁🥁 there was a water baptism! I must say I’ve never been in water so cold before, I’m surprised my toes didn’t fall off! I am so so so glad I found a place on campus where I can call genuinely everybody in it my family. Words cannot describe how much fun and how close I got to God this weekend and I can’t wait for next year!! I made a ton of new friends this weekend that I can’t wait to see at SALT this winter! My favorite verse I heard this weekend was probably Jeremiah 29 verse 11 “‘For I know the plans I have for you,’ says the Lord. ‘They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.’” That verse really stuck with me because I am very used to looking ahead into my future trying to get everything all figured out and I always tend to forget God has a plan for me and I need to put my trust into him and I will succeed. 🤍 taken in Spencer Lake Christian Center by @h_zuba08
