Anyone who knows me really well knows it's been my lifelong dream to visit to the 🇺🇲🗽, yet I guess the stars haven't quite aligned yet for it 🤫 so I figured if I can't go to the U.S.just quite yet, a trip to the U.S. Consulate organised by @usyddiplomats was the next best thing! Arvo tea 🍪🍵with U.S Consulate Jeremy Cornforth & Daniel Dummer - Public engagement coordinator. It's always so refreshing seeing so many females at the political science table (it's like the exception in cyber security) 😁 Shoutout to Kierem President of Diplomats society in leading what seemed like a bunch of excited uni kids on a field trip! So the bonus ❓🐶🎁 if you're sitting here 5 years from now aka 2031 😱 what do you think will have changed in the way you work?The 2026 era has been about one main thing 🌼 revamping the WoW (ways of work) and letting go of the legacy ones that no longer serve me.Work is always going to be one of my major passions being oriented in the social impact space. Whether it be in cyber security 👩🏻‍💻, social research for NFPs 🧐 or more recently in political economy for building the research basis for policy for the people 🏛️, my work is never done 😅🤓But as bosses from the past have said, the work will always be there tomorrow. To this I add, yes which is why it's all the more important to 🥁🌻Work in a way that's sustainable with my passion but not miss out moments of life that I'm going to remember for the rest of my life 📸💜 still work in progress as I'm rebooting lockdown passion projects 😊 by @ha.wic

This was the week that was for BTS of Founder life :)Mon: delved in deep with those podcasts and downloading the best app for research articles and wondering why for the 100th time why tech giants turn things on by default with no warning. 😱🎧📨Tues: see long adventure post 🧭🗺️Weds: had a group interview was a little nervous towards the end but everyone was super friendly and we all exchanged IG afterwards :) always nice to make more friends! I tried so hard last semester haha. 💃🏻🕺🏻💃🏽🕺🏽Also early Vday ❣️ celebration at office and legit thought the first card read, wi-fi you are my world 📱Thurs: Dental day (reveal to come with a reel haha) and swinging by closest office and taking in the ambience of LNY 😁🧧Fri & weekend: made my own makeshift mini bookshelf Kmart hack (twin towers style) to store all towering book stack and subjected myself to a bootcamp of social research to get up to speed. 📚📑Also made time to watch the must see movie for any female Founder, Swiped (post to come!).Edited caption: as phone keeps crashing and dying (it's been here since 2020) and it can no longer compute posting all at once with bells and whistles and I'm running late to start cheffing for LNY dinner haha. by @ha.wic

How is it almost the end of Oct with Halloween 🎃 around the corner? 🦇🌙Been spending a lot of time lately reflecting on the what's to come for the final quarter of the year with new journeys and beginnings on the horizon 🌅2025 has definitely been a year of growth for me with HA.WIC officially starting operations! Wherever the direction of HA.WIC goes, cyber awareness and mental health will always be a part of it 😉To wrap up Cyber security awareness month, I'm so incredibly excited to be hosting a webinar with Aneesa Sobhy from the CyberCave on 👩🏻‍💻 Unspoken insider threat - Burnout 🔥 in cyber security 🤔Mental health and cyber security doesn't get talked about enough, so we're all super keen to hear her insights on how we can all work together to support each other in the constant mayday red 🚨 mode. In light of @staysafeonlinenca Data Privacy week next week, finally catching up posting backlog comms for cyber security awareness!Back in December 2024, I had the opportunity to advocate on the importance of cyber security awareness with a group of mentees led by Cliffside Cybersecurity. If you're curious to know what a sleepy pink dinosaur 🦕 has to do with it, definitely check out the snippet and full video in the comments. Special shoutout to Adri Leite the Founder for the facilitating engaging discussions and for the group's patience with tech issues 😅 that's how we know it's live! And to the Butter team for their amazing virtual slide deck template.
