📍Central City, Colorado

Walking around during the evening felt like being in an eerie movie. This historic community takes you back to its founding by miners in 1859 with tons of old buildings tucked in the mountains.

Wander around and check out the Gilpin County Museum, Art Galleries, and historic Central City Opera House.

Make it extra spooky and explore the cemeteries located around town or take a tour of the Coeur D’Alene or Hidee mines.

Reminder that Mount Blue Sky is back open this summer after being closed for 2 years!

Mount Blue Sky is a 14,266-foot peak near Denver, Colorado, known for having the highest paved road in North America, the Mount Blue Sky Scenic Byway, which offers access to alpine tundra and wildlife like mountain goats.

Summit Lake is a must-see area along the drive up and you can park to walk a few feet to this beautiful alpine lake.

Reservations for timed entry are required. by @habitualhorizons
