What an incredible year. Proud is an absolute understatement.

The young-gun Habs broke records all year long. Suzuki with 100+ points. Hutson with 70+ points. Slafkovsky with 70+ points. Caufield with 50+ goals. Demidov with an incredible rookie season. As a team, they finished with 106 points and secured a divisional playoff spot. A massive step forward.

Throughout the entire year, we battled through thick and thin. Injuries. Roller coasters. Goaltending issues. Defensive struggles. Every mistake became a learning experience. Every challenge made this group stronger. It felt like every regular season game had playoff implications. Every time it looked like we were about to slip, we found a way to respond. Or as Marty would say… We didn’t bounce back. We bounced forward.

Acquisitions like Danault and Dobson were massive and played a huge role in our success. The organization now knows exactly what this team is, where it’s strong, and where it needs to improve.

And then there’s Dobes. He battled all year. He competed all year. He gave this team a chance all year. A fantastic rookie season. The future tandem of Dobes and Fowler is something every Canadiens fan should be excited about.

Everyone on this team had their moment. They won together. They lost together. They grew together. They showed the entire league what an attractive place Montreal is to play and what kind of culture is being built here.

And then came the playoffs. Not only did we make them. We made the Eastern Conference Final. We took down two powerhouse teams in incredible fashion. The experience this young group gained is invaluable.

I’m so excited to watch this core continue to grow together. Marty has instilled something special in this group.

Gamers. Fighters. Competitors.

It’s a shame it ended the way it did. The injuries piled up. The gas tank eventually ran dry. That’s part of the process. Another lesson. Another step.

This team exceeded every expectation. And yet it still feels like this is only the beginning.

A dynasty in the making.

Thank you, Habs. Thank you for the memories. Thank you for the roller coaster. Thank you for making us believe.

Hage truly looked incredible this weekend. He looks a lot more polished and is easily the best prospect outside the NHL currently. His efficiency is through the roof. He’s playing a complete 200 foot game and doing the little things at a much higher level. Truly think we can see a 75 point, Hober Baker winner who plays C in all situations this year. I don’t think we understand what quality of a player we are getting in April. There’s no reason this young MAN shouldn’t be the 2C by next fall. Think he’ll be a 60-80 point 2 way thick mobile C for many years. We got ourselves a gem by @habsinfinity

I wouldn’t even be this frustrated if it didn’t come at the expense of our 6’4 5th overall 22 year old RHD. You have Jayden freaking Struble playing on his off side. Seriously - what are we doing? by @habsinfinity

GAME 2/84. Absolutely insane point. That woulda been SOOO EPIC THO. Crawled back from 5-1. Talent bails us out and this tends to be a trend with us. It’s glaringly obvious what we’re missing. We were missing it last year and were missing it again. RHD and 2C. Really hope Carrier is ok. Struble has no place on this team. He’s horrid in my eyes. He caused that 6th goal that got luckily overturned. Solid game from Caufield and Suzuki. I think Krieder doesn’t fit amazing there and Slaf should move back. Insane we missed on all those breakaways. We started the game strong then fell asleep then came back in miracle fashion. Once again… skill brings us back. But it can’t always be the case. It’s hard to blame Dobes for all those goals. I back not taking him out there. Absolutely insane they missed that slashing call on Demidov in OT. Couldn’t have been more obvious and it led to their game winner. Hard to complain when we sneak out with a point there. Hope the concerns are addressed sooner than later. Going to bed calm tonight. That woulda been electric tho. Cant believe we came back. GHG by @habsinfinity
