Remember when craft beer was a thing? Weird. But friends were made along the way, and I'm still on here for them.

POSTS STORIES REELS

@theveilbrewing Two Thousand Years. Obviously, it's fucking epic. 16.5% when it entered a 36 month slumber in a blend of Apple Brandy, Buffalo Trace, Elijah Craig, and Old Fitzgerald barrels. It's easily above 20% now. Finished with a mix of extra ingredients that could also make a good batch of granola. I'm halfway through the glass as I type this and it's already got me slumped like Christopher Reeve.

Huge huge thanks to my good friend @distilledadrenaline as always. by @hackney_beer_wanker

As usual, more difficult to get than it should be for a local beer but as usual it's so worth it! @beerloversmallorca cheers!!

Thanks for coming away with us @isitlewisjones. A well needed gap in the 1000s of grande Cruzcampo. 👌🏻 by @hackney_beer_wanker

I don't post beers too often, and in fact this will only be my 4th this year! It's not that I don't drink beers, nor that I don't like what I've had, it's just that I don't drink much that a whole load of people far more enthusiastic than me haven't already posted about, so I'd rather put my Instagram efforts into doomscrolling for the finest memes and anti-right infomemes!

But, when it comes to blended @theveilbrewing stouts that have spent 12 months in Laird's apple brandy barrels followed by 22 months in Buffalo Trace barrels then I feel the need to talk about it. This was the 1000th brew by The Veil and is an in-house collaboration of some of their already monsterous stout recipes. It's 17%, carries zero IBU and is thicker than pretty much any stout I've ever had.

It's beyond decadent (velvet label notwithstanding) and is nothing but indulgent pleasure to drink.

HUGE thanks to my boy @distilledadrenaline for bringing this over on his last visit. Cheers to you my man 🥂

Lovely to be offered a #gifted delivery from @draughtdrop_official last week. As usual there were two to choose from so I opted for Bow Tie pale from @howlinghops . I don't get to the pub all that often, even though they're all open again, so getting a pint and a half of fresh beer on a Friday was an absolute treat!

Draught Drop have partnered with over 25 local independent breweries to bring you some of the great craft beer London has to offer straight to your door, in a way that's good for the planet! They have @pillarsbrewery this week so use the code DRINKSONHACKNEYBEERWANKER for a free bottle on your first drop when you sign up!

From then you'll get:
1. Every Friday 3.5 pints of draught beer from a local brewery in two 1L bottles.
2. Your beers will arrive chilled to your doorstep the eco-friendly way, by bike!
3. Enjoy and return your bottles on your next drop, so that they can reuse it.

Their new 1L flip-top bottles keep beer fresher for longer and even fit in the fridge door! Delivery is available to N&E London and you can order a subscription, a single drop and they now do wine too! by @hackney_beer_wanker

Hey! How you doing?

This is a DIPA like DIPAs used to be. The kind of beer I've been needing to end the turbid monotony of what supposedly constitutes an DIPA nowadays.

It reeks of mixed citrus pith, canteloup melon and top grade weed. It's instant California nostalgia but also immediate relevance combined.

Work and Posh have been staple beers for me for the many years I've listened to Pete and James tell me "just you wait". Well that wait is over and every word they said is true. by @hackney_beer_wanker

I think I've managed the last few years getting this annual beer from @atombeers and the progression has been amazing to see. This year's is possibly one of the best UK stouts I've had (although, I've obviously not had them all). And most of all I love that it makes a beautiful couple with the @beerwolves glass! by @hackney_beer_wanker

Should keep me swaying for a few nights...Expert service from @radbeerco, thanks for helping me stay indoors, ignorant to the collapse of society happening out there.

Stay safe peeps. by @hackney_beer_wanker
