Nights like this…

I landed in Sydney on the last day of Vivid 2024; 15 June, 2024. The weather was horrible and I was exhausted. And quite frankly I was too focused on the life altering journey that I had to endure ahead of me; and so I didn’t go and see it.

Which brings me to this year’s Vivid festival: I finally got to see it! It’s been one hell of a crazy year since I stepped off of a plane prepared to do what ever it took; and what ever it takes to go all in on me.

It’s on nights like this when I’m reminded of what I’ve made for myself and how much life and growth I’ve experienced in a year.

It’s on nights like this that I’m glad that I left all the disrespect and the version of me that tolerated it behind me.

Game night: Waratahs vs. Fijian Drua

My dad took me to watch the Wallabies (a team he auditioned for) play at this stadium when I was a kid. Now I’m back at this stadium watching the Waratahs (a team he used to play for) without him.

I wish you were here to see our team win, dad. Not to worry though; I’m keeping track of game time with your watch. And I’m sharing good beers with good company.
