'A stitched landscape'

We have had several holidays on the coast of south East Devon over the past few years. A little tramway runs from the beautiful town of Colyton to Seaton alongside the River Axe. The scenery across the river is so lovely (pic 2). I have had this view to stitch on my to do list for ages. It was taken from the tram as it headed towards Seaton. Pic 3 shows the tram waiting at the station in Colyton.

Such a fabulous day today visiting @erddignt. Lovely walk around the lake and we sat for ages in the warm sunshine. Pic 4 shows the incredible bug house based on the house itself!

'A fantasy vase of flowers'

I am trying to become a little looser with my stitching. I think I am getting there!! This piece is mostly raw edge applique with added lazy daisy stitches.

Trying very hard to keep the garden alive!!! Lost count of how many rain free days we've now had!! Very rarely buy bedding plants but love the joyful faces of gazania plants! And who doesn't love agapanthus!?!?

'A circular village scene'

A stitched vessel depicting fantasy cottages. I felt the need to stitch something other than flowers for a change!! I managed to keep cool in my north face sewing room. Too hot for my little summerhouse!! The final pic shows the layout of the piece before assembling into the vessel. I do struggle with getting true colours on my phone!!

I have been splitting my time recently between stitching and gardening (although, with the weather at the moment, there has been rather more stitching!)

A mixed media piece using raw edge applique, thread painting and masses of lazy daisy stitches.

Spent a lovely morning @ness_gardens. The gardens were looking particularly gorgeous in the warm spring sunshine. We sat on a bench for ages just absorbing the beauty. So lucky to live just fifteen minutes away!!
