You know those days.

The ones that start too early. With skins on, or a rope in your pack. Cold fingers. Heavy legs. A plan that changes along the way.

The days spent breaking trail, building a kicker, walking to the wall, waiting for better light.

Checking the snow. Checking the inrun. Checking the knot. And then: “one more try.”

Sometimes the moment you came for lasts only a few seconds.

A clean turn. A landed trick. A move that finally works.

But the day you remember is made of much more.

The way up. The waiting. The preparation nobody sees. The changing plans. The stupid jokes. The people who stayed for one more try.

Maybe that’s why the best days never feel like they just happened.

20 seasons of HAE.
Fall Winter 26/27 is here.

What started in 2006 with one handmade beanie has grown into twenty seasons of snowboarding, mountain days, friends, ideas, mistakes, new attempts and a lot of time spent outside.

For this anniversary season, we kept coming back to one thought:

THE BEST DAYS ARE HANDMADE.

Not because everything we make is handmade.

But because the days we remember usually are.

Built together.
Waited for.
Worked for.
Made by cold hands, changing conditions and one more try.

Not every mountain story needs a summit.

Sometimes it’s a familiar face at the crag. Years of experience, and still curious about the next move.

A mushroom beside the trail. A strange little moment you would have missed if you were only looking up.

Still climbing. Still curious. Still finding something new in the same old mountains.

Mountain life is made of all of it.

Over the next weeks, we’ll be sharing some work by local photographer and artist Riccardo Francesco Troia from the Upper Valais.

Not everything worth remembering happens at full speed.

Some roads are worth taking slowly.
Some winds are better trusted than chased.
Some reflections only appear when everything else becomes still.

The Alps never ask us to hurry.

Maybe that’s why we keep coming back.

When Switzerland gets too hot, you start looking for fern.

For cold rivers, narrow valleys and shade that stays a little longer.
For coffee before the sun gets high.
For ropes in the back of the car, hard mattresses, open doors and the kind of sleep you only call good because you’re tired enough.

A short trip to Ticino.
No summit. No big story.
Just good rock, cooler air and friends who don’t need much convincing.

GUIDE LINES | JULIAN FÜRSINGER

There are lines in the mountains you can see.
And others you learn to read, feel and respect.
The ones that take time to understand.

@fuersingerjulian is currently finishing his training to become a mountain guide in Switzerland.
Over the years, we’ve travelled, explored and shared many days in the mountains together. What once began on a snowboard has become something more for Julian: a path shaped by passion, responsibility and a deeper commitment to the mountains and to the people moving through them.

These images were taken by @roesl during a day on the glacier in the Swiss Alps with Julian.
