For over 120 years golfers have slapped it around the dunes of Donabate. Corballis Links is the only true public links course in the republic. And at only 4,500+/- meters (chat what’s meters to yards?) and a par of 66 this is one of the best short rips I’ve ever played. Fast, firm and affordable with some great holes a few quirky ones and a million signs. I’ve never seen so many signs on a golf course. Not sure it’s going to add anything to the context of this place but that’s what I got.

Oh and be careful on 15/16 it’s very much Old Course vibes in the sense that anyone can get domed. Which is kinda fun. taken in Corballis Links Golf Club by @hafe_life

Last night June started asking me about all the places I’ve been. Which turned into all the places she wants to go. We looked at maps, photos, pinned locations and we talked about some of my favorite places. I love seeing the sense of adventure in her. How much she talks about the trips we’ve been on. I told her Iceland is about as high on the list as nearly anything else. I’ve seen it in a few different seasons and ventured further out each time… it’s honestly one of the best places in the world. And there is golf! We like golf. by @hafe_life

I recently picked up a book about the objects photographer Philippe Halsman owned as shot by Henry Leutwyler. It was fascinating to see the objects one of the most prolific shooters of his generation used and how they aged in. It made me think about my equipment and my affinity for my Leica M6. Which has never shot a gas station at night or an abandoned car in the desert on 500D.

Its the camera I want to see in my kids hands or up on their shelf one day. Looking back at the remnants of another photographer's life through the objects he curated, used and helped shape his time on this earth is a lovely reminder that we leave a mountain behind. Good and bad.

The items we use day in and day out should be important to us.

4,430 miles west of the 85° Florida coast is the town of Nome, Ak. Where every year on the frozen coastline the same game is being played. Albeit with wildly different dress codes.

In mid March the most grueling race in the world comes to an end. On a -20 degree day we watched the last finishers (survivors?) of the Iditarod come into town.

The course is build every year with a typical architects bag of tricks and Eskimo cut outs.

Finishers of all make enjoy a post race celebration.
