“The Weight of the Woods” Out Now

I’ve talked a lot about what it meant to make this record. But what I’ve realized is it was more than just making music. It was the deepest sense of community. Honestly.. this has been the best discovery of my musical journey.

First to my family, for venturing with me into unknown places, for sharing in the joy of discovery, for being my refuge everyday. You are the greatest gift and my true north. To Dermot, thank you for bringing us all together in your sacred place. For being a human that inspired everyone involved to reach for more, to reach for pain, to reach for love and joy.

To Carey Willets, Sam Westhoff, and Joel Stagg for being the most impeccable lads and a united front in the pursuit of Dermots heart.

And that's that. Noah hit me a year and a half ago to write and we left that day with a song called Doors. don't know if i've ever met a better writer, blew me away. ended up getting involved on the record from an engineering perspective and co wrote Deny Deny Deny and Paid Time Off. Meetin someone with such high class artistry and down to earth humanity is rare and even more rare for the entire crew to fit those category's. helping make this record changed the way i approach music entirely. love you @noahkahanmusic love you @gabesimonsays

well hi yall. the last 6 weeks have really been a ride. i spent all 6 weeks in between norway and london making some of my fav music ive made. can't wait to show you everything. got to swim in the ocean in norway while it was raining and cold and then jump into a hot tub highly recommend that. learned so much about songwriting and feel like im finding myself in a refreshing way. noah's album came out and thats just been too fun to watch. i let myself sleep in a bit more than normal and feel back to normal now. got some good sun on my face and think that matters a lot. my wife and i moved into our first house and thats crazy. feel like i dont know how i got to be fortunate enough to live this kind of life but i have and the word grateful feels shallow in regards to how i feel. cried about it last night actually. love yall thanks for believing in me and my crew. gonna give you my best. taken in The Isle Of Colonsay by @haffway_
