So sacred that the gaze lowers out of respect when they arrive. So divine that the lover must first steady his heartbeat before daring to look into those eyes. Yes, that kind of love does exist.

i wonder if the heart ever really stops waiting for the things it has loved. maybe it just learns to do it quietly between the unfinished prayers while the world carries on as though nothing is missing. and perhaps somewhere, without even meaning to, we keep a place for the people we hope to find our way back to.

If that night passed like any other where your eyes never met mine and love never found a place to bloom in me. Would i have been more whole or would i have spent forever missing something i never got to name? How it would have been, i wonder.

there is a whole world of affection that exists without the other person ever having to know about it. that somewhere in the middle of an ordinary day, someone is remembering the way they smiled and the way they looked at them. turning it all into something that can be read over and over and over.

i wonder how differently we'd treat people if we remembered that beneath all the things that make us seem different, we're all trying to make sense of being alive for the very first time. i wonder how much kinder the world would be if we stopped expecting people to have everything figured out. we're all living days we've never lived before. making choices without knowing where they'll lead. isn't it strange how little room we give each other to be human?

there must be a hundred ways to confess love without ever saying a word. and i think the eyes have mastered most of them. the way they look at the one they love. making an ordinary person feel special for the very things they never thought were worth looking at. the way they make their loved ones feel like a work of art. simply by the way they look at them. uhhhh!! the art of loving with eyes!!!!!
