Hier kom n ding...... I am super excited to announce that we have started building! haideenel.com *: ) It has been a very long but awesome journey to get to this point in time. There is still a long journey ahead in order to bring to you this imperfect offering. But we will keep you in the loop. Hold on and enjoy the ride! Remember to make popcorn! What an incredible show this is, called LIFE. Hartlike Dankies aan elke liewe mens wat oor my pad gekom het , ek het so baie geleer , julle is my inspirasie om aan te hou , I love you. With a joyful heart I want to thank every single human being that crossed my path, I have learned so much, you are my inspiration to keep going, I love you. En Dankie liefie dat jy altyd weer opstaan en die werk doen. PS try not to get too lost in language , the message is wordless. BITTER-SWEET Along this bitter-sweet journey towards unveiling the inner self, it becomes apparent that there is a myriad of visible and invisible layers of masking to outwardly express an identity, knowingly or unknowingly,in order to perform in this Masquerade called Life... The story told is that of a “ Hero’s Journey”, exploring the relationship with the inner child through time and space, connecting, listening, accepting, surrendering, forgiving ,thanking, challenging, holding, confronting, shadowing, appreciating, loving, failing, seeing, pushing, healing, seeking questions and answers towards awakening. Then, for a moment, grasping the essence of the true self. The journey of a never-ending story. Dankie Ma Dankie Pa Dankie vir my engel kinders wat my die pad wys. Dankie Henro dat jy jou hart oop maak, en veg vir jouself. Dankie Seun Richard dat jy luister en hoor en saam speel. And finally I bow down completely to the Creator , I am humbled in Your magnificence. Amen #artwing #haideenel.com #storytelling #artistwebsite #itsshowtime #sculptureartist #afrikaans #wordless #picturebook #sacredtimes #betweenheavenandhearth #breakthrough #fly #vlieg #artwork #showcase by @haideenel

“I have been to the edge of an ancient continent and back. I did not return with gold. Nor diamonds. I returned with the memory of a creature that has outlasted everything…” A coffee break inspired by Abstract Africa. Step into the Rialheim Café at @decorexafrica Cape Town 2026, a space wrapped floor to wall in our crocodile pattern, where every wall tells a piece of the journey that inspired it. Sit at the counter. Read the walls. Let your coffee go a little cold while you take it all in. Today’s the last day. We’d love to see you there. Haidee Nel’s work reflects on questions of identity, performance and how we present ourselves in changing environments. Her figures carry a sense of play that is layered with quiet reflection. Each piece becomes a character that speaks about difference, belonging and the ways we navigate visibility. There is a tension between vulnerability and resilience that runs through her practice. The result is work that feels both intimate and theatrical, inviting viewers to see fragments of themselves in the stories she creates. @haideenel Available to add to your collection today. #LizamoreGallery #LizamoreonKeyes #womensmonth #womenartists by @haideenel

Once upon a time there was a little girl... At first glance, 'Double-By' with her red cape reminds of the innocent character of Little Red Riding Hood. However, Wolf’s tail and legs protruding from the cape, uncomfortably hints at a split in the identity of this character. The fusing of the two characters is a way of addressing the blurred boundary between the victim- and perpetrator-self. See more link in my bio, www.haideenel.com or follow qr codes Did you know? The dolos design is based on the "dubbeltjie" or devil's thorn, it was created by South African draughtsman and inventor Aubrey Kruger. The name was birthed in a precious moment between Aubrey Kruger and his father, Joseph Kruger. After seeing his son and others playing with small models in the office, he asked "Wat speel julle met die dolos?" Dolos is the Afrikaans word for knucklebones which are often used by sangomas when listening to their ancestors. Thank you to Concrete Units for the Dollosse, it was a miracle! Echoes from the Edge- an public sculpture exhibition #sculptureonthecliffs2025 .- curated by @debbie.odendaal . This year , ten women artists presented work inspired by theme of mythology, memory, and transformation. The exhibitions title suggests both call of sirens from the sea and the echoes of the past traces of history, personal reflection, and cycle of return. Though sculpture, installation, and mixed media, these artists respond to the environment in ways that are both thought-provoking and visually striking. From bold , large scale pieces that interact with the natural elements, to more intimate works that invite quite contemplation, Echoes from the Edge encourages visitors to explore the coastline in a way. Whether encountering a piece nestled in the dunes or standing against the open horizon, you will find moments of connection between art, place, and story. ECHOES FROM THE EDGE- WHERE CREATIVITY MEETS THE POWER OF THE SEA. THANK YOU TO ALL THE AWESOME HUMANS THAT MADE IT POSSIBLE. @debbie.odendaal - curator @faure_mary @jacosieberhagen @theartbusiness - Sandra Hanekom @thefynartsgallery @fynartsfestival Concrete Units 🥰 @lizettechirrime for my outfit dungaree🦭 #womensculptors #fynarts2025 #artlovers #hermanus #publicsculptures #artsouthafrica #sculpturebythesea #oceanfront #oceanconservation #artlovers by @haideenel
