In first grade, I told my whole class that I'd live in New York City one day. Today rings 10 years of making that dream a reality.

10 things I've learned in no particular order.
1. it's okay to do things alone. It's actually more fun that way sometimes.
2. Spend the money on the concert, you won't regret it.
3. You don't need your headphones in all the time. The sounds of the city can sometimes bring you more joy than your favorite song.
4. Fall in love with your friends. Not actually, but actually. The romance that lives within platonic relationships will feed your soul more than giving it to someone that doesn't deserve it.
5. Your North Star is your character and what matters most to keeping your wellbeing afloat.
6. Give yourself grace in the same way you honor those around you.
7. Don't let yourself overstay somewhere that's no longer serving you.
8. You are an artist no matter what your day job is.
9. Remember on your hardest days that you're feeding your inner child every day you decide to keep going.
10. Keep an umbrella on you, like just trust me lol.

I love this life so much and i love New York 🥲 taken in New York, New York by @hailee.jane
