I am so blessed and grateful to call myself an alumni of the University of Michigan Ross School of Business!

My path through college has been incredible. In four short years I had the opportunity to serve my community as:
1. Co-President of the Black Business Undergraduate Society
2. Founding Father and Community Service Chair of the Urban Wordsmith Society
3. Community Service Chair of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Beta Eta Chapter
4. Model and Community Service Chair of Enspired Runway
5. Career Development Office Peer Coach in Private Equity
6. Employer Immersions and Challenges Assistant in the University Career Center
7. Professor’s Assistant in Business Communication
8. 2024 Leadership Fellow for Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.
9. 2023-2024 Student Life Student Employee of the year
10. Caldwell Poetry Award winner

While developing my identity as a finance professional, writer, and service driven leader, I also grew as a young woman. I made my best friends on this campus and learned the true definition of sisterhood. I organized new events and initiatives, pushing the boundaries of what was possible. Most of all, I had fun. I took photos of the trees turning gorgeous colors in autumn, laid out in the law quad for hours at a time, and screamed until my voice went out at football games.

This chapter in my life has been so rich in love. Thank you God. Thank you to my parents (I love you both beyond words), family, and friends. You all are the reason I am the woman I am today.

Michigan, thank you for keeping me safe and giving me room to grow these past four years. May the next generation of Wolverine’s feel this same sense of pride to call Ann Arbor home.

I’ve been all across the country spending time with and celebrating my family these past few weeks and I’m so grateful! 🥹🩷 To be able to make memories with my peoples has been a blessing. This summer has been wonderful. I stuck with my people, trusted in God, learned a ton, and had so much fun doing it. To put the cherry on top:

I am blessed to announce that I have accepted an offer to join Blackstone’s Tactical Opportunities Group to join as a full time analyst in 2025.

This journey has been YEARS in the making. I say all the time that I didn’t choose finance, this work chose me. My freshman year I was connected to my first boss on Wall Street and life long mentor. He taught me a new way to think about how our world works, through the perspective of investing. Since that summer I have embarked on an incredible journey supported by my family (Mom and Dad I am so grateful for everything you’ve done to support me), friends (listening to me yap about business for hours on end and giving me a hug when I get nervous), mentors (who see above the trees and help to guide my path), and colleagues (who cultivate my learning at every stage). Being a Black woman in finance means that I am joining a select group of dynamic women who are paving the way to change our world. I love what I do and the best part is that this is the very very beginning of what I hope will be a rewarding and impactful career. Thank you God for keeping me safe, remaining in my heart when times are challenging, and blessing me with the most amazing people in my life.
