I don’t think it has quite hit me yet that your really gone. I sit in the living room waiting for you to walk in, but I know that’s not reality. I can sit and talk about how bad it hurt to loose you, but I’m going to treasure the things that I did have with you. Our love of pickles that we shared will always have a special place in my heart. I loved your pep talks before any small event, even a practice. I loved watching you do your favorite things even though it didn’t always seem like it. I wish I could tell you all of these things now, but I know you left knowing that I loved you with my whole heart. Watching you battle cancer was one of the most inspirational and insane things I have ever seen. Your mindset was unbelievable and you never EVER considered giving up as an option. You fought until the very end. Thank you for being my friends second dad, thank you for being my biggest inspiration, and thank you for never leaving my side. I know that you are still right next to me, cheering me on. The last thing I said to you was “see you later” and I sure as hell will. 🩷 by @hailey.cousland
